Corbett Grade School
April 2024
Dear Corbett Grade School Families,
It is with mixed emotions that I write to inform you that I recently accepted an offer to become the Executive Director of Mosier Community School in Mosier, Oregon. At the end of this school year, I will be stepping down from my position as principal of Corbett Grade School.
This decision was an extremely difficult for me but one that I feel is best for my family and me. I am excited for the new challenges and opportunities ahead and will miss the amazing community of Corbett School District.
My time serving as a classroom teacher and principal for Corbett Grade School has been incredibly rewarding. Corbett has been my community for more than 30 years. During this time, I have had the privilege of witnessing the growth and development of our students, served and collaborated with talented educators, and partnered with supportive families. I am immensely proud of the accomplishments we have achieved together as a school community.
I am truly grateful for your invaluable support and partnership during my time at Corbett School District. I appreciate the trust you placed in me to lead our school and, most importantly, entrust with the education of your children.
This spring, I will work closely with our school administration to ensure a smooth transition process. I am committed to ensuring that this transition minimally impacts the continuity of your child's education and the overall operations of the school. It is hard to believe there are only nine weeks remaining in the 2023-24 school year. We have a busy schedule with state assessments for third through sixth students, outdoor school for sixth grade students, and many amazing field trips. In addition, we are installing our new playground equipment and creating a garden in the fenced area in the front east area of the grade school.
Thank you once again for your support and dedication to our school community. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as Corbett Grade School principal.

Team members are Milo Houck, Leo McIntyre, Robert Talida, Scarlett Normine, Lydia Gergen, and Trevor Nedwicke. Trevor was Corbett's top scorer for the competition. Mrs. Chiu, Mrs. Meadows, and Corbett High School students supported our mathletes this year!
