New Special Education Teacher
Greetings CMIT North Elementary Community,
I am thrilled to introduce myself as the newest addition to our school family. I am Ms. On, and I have the privilege of serving as your new Special Education Resource Teacher.
A bit about me — I am a Maryland native and a proud alumna of the University of Maryland, College Park. My journey in education, driven by a deep-rooted passion for guiding and supporting youth, took a meaningful turn during my time in Ghana. There, the magic of teaching became even more apparent as I had the opportunity to work at a local school. The connections I formed with my students and the growth I witnessed underscored my belief in the transformative power of education.
What fuels my teaching passion? It's simple—ensuring every student has the chance to learn, grow, and shine in a nurturing environment. It's a bit like my personal mission, and it's what drew me to specialize in Special Education. I am excited about bringing that same energy to CMIT North Elementary and eager to contribute to the school’s continued success.
Outside the classroom, I lead a spirited girls' youth group, guiding them through the exciting journey of personal and academic development. Additionally, I am actively involved in projects supporting education for children in underdeveloped countries, which has been very fulfilling and inspiring. On a personal note, I find joy in fitness and wellness activities, relish long walks, and have a deep love for baking.
As I embark on this new chapter, I am filled with enthusiasm about becoming a part of this wonderful community. I look forward to meeting and working with each one of you and contributing to the positive and nurturing environment that defines CMIT North Elementary.
