A MESSAGE FROM MRS. CAUDILL
Time is quickly approaching for our spring student-led conferences. This time of the year is an exciting way for your child to show how he/she has grown as a learner. Students will present to you their leadership notebook and share examples of their learning success and growth in reading, writing, math, and other areas of their choice. Student-led conferences are in accordance with our Leader in Me practices. Please note that this is not a one-on-one conference with your child's teacher, but he/she will certainly be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
Please view the sign up and find a convenient time for you and your child to attend. We are excited to have you participate in a conversation that encourages your child to explain his/her learning, possible challenges, and how they feel about the progress they have made so far this school year.
Please understand that placements for 2024-2025 will not be discussed at this time. This includes ALPS placement, middle school placement, including Advanced Math and Academic Resource. For more information about your questions, please see the Advanced Programming Link.
We look forward to this wonderful opportunity for your child to be a leader and also be the owner of his/her learning. We hope you enjoy this special time to explore your child’s growth throughout this school year!
Stay Well,
Devon Caudill

NBSA spring recreational (house) baseball and softball registration is now officially open through
March 20th, 2024. Please review some important information below about registration and league
changes this year.
To help our commissioners streamline roster configurations, we are changing friend requests to
only one friend this year. Commissioners will use school-attended and past team information while
considering team formation.

participants are capable and they meet grade level requirements. Note that this only pertains to a
few players each year. Contact NBSA at info@nbsabaseball.org while registering.
Any registrations made after March 19 th will incur a $25 late fee and players will only be
accepted if roster spaces are available.
Opening day is right around the corner so please register soon as leagues fill up quickly!
Consider volunteering to coach a team. We provide all the training and equipment - no experience
necessary.

LEADER IN ME MARCH FOCUS - HABIT 6
Synergize!
What this means: Working together is better. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
“I get along well with other people and work well in groups.”
“I value the strengths of others and allow myself to learn from them.”
“I know that working together as a team we can get more done and come up with better solutions than we could alone.”
“I seek out other people’s ideas to solve problems.”
How can I do this in my life?
With your children, choose a problem you may have (like curfew or completing tasks). Use the Synergy Action Plan to summarize your child's solution and your solution: (1) define the problem, (2) share your views, (3) think of solutions, (4) choose the best solution together. See if you can reach a better solution (The High Way) than either of you could come up with alone.
