Dear NSSEO Families,
We welcomed back students and staff from Spring Break in the snow! In spite of less-than-optimal weather, I really enjoyed seeing our staff welcome back our students into school this past Tuesday, and now we are all ‘rested up’ and ready to end the school year strong!
Spring in schools is probably the busiest and most rewarding time of the year. We have much to celebrate, from graduations to retirements and everything in between. Thank you to everyone who attended the NSSEO Foundation’s Bingo Night in March! We are excited to share that after expenses, the event netted $17,000, which will be used to fund projects to support our students and our various programs. Special thanks to the NSSEO foundation for all of the hard work that goes into making this event so special each and every year, and to the many donors who provided us with generous donations and silent auction items-we are truly grateful!
This month at our NSSEO Governing Board meeting, we highlighted Timber Ridge School and honored their students, David S. from District 23, and Edwin C. from District 59 as our NSSEO Shining Stars. Details will be provided in the April Governing Board Briefs communication. Congratulations, David and Edwin!

They approved the 24-25 School Year Calendar, which is available on the NSSEO Website.
Extended School Year (ESY) will start on June 10th and will convene Monday through Friday through June 28th, with the exception of June 19th, in recognition of Juneteenth.
