Principal's Corner
Primary Families,
Can you believe we are already in fourth quarter? Before we know it the 23/24 school year will be over! Our teachers are working hard to get our students prepared for MAP testing at the end of April. We appreciate your support in having your child here each day as our teachers prepare as well as the week of April 29th. The week of the 29th is the week we plan to MAP test. Our students always do better when they take the assessment with their class , instead of on a make-up day.
Spring time is upon us and that means we typically see an uptick in student behaviors. We would appreciate you talking to your child at home about S.O.A.R. ing behavior. I am attaching a copy of our S.O.A.R. expectations for you to use at home.
Here is a look at our upcoming events:
- Book Fair April 8-11 till 5:00 pm
- April 19th- NO SCHOOL-Professional Development Day
- April 24th-Primary Rising Parent Night-4:00 om -6:00 pm

Hello Primary Families!
I hope everyone is having a great start to the spring season! I can't believe we are in the final stretch to the 23'-24' school year. This month, the themes for my lesson are having a Growth Mindset and Confidence. Making mistakes can be challenging and hard to understand at this young age, so learning how to have a positive attitude and embrace mistakes is an important lesson to learn early on! I will be using "Bubble Gum Brain" by Julia Cook and "The Magical Yet" by Angela DiTerezzi to help illustrate how to have positive self-talk when learning new things!
Thank you for your continued support of the Primary! Please continue to reach out if you have any questions or concerns!

Nurse Notes- Nurse Rhonda
Hello Primary family,
I hope you all had a Happy Easter and were able to spend some much needed time with your family and friends.
It seems like we are seeing less of all the sickness. I have seen a few with strep throat and flu but it has definitely decreased.
Thank you to those who have donated to the nurse’s office. It is very much appreciated. Some of the things we are still needing are boys and girls underwear, new or gently used shorts for boys and girls size 5-12. Healthy snacks such as cheese or peanut butter crackers, fruit snacks, small water bottles or juices. Refillable water bottles are needed also as they are requested by students frequently.
We are starting to accumulate more coats, jackets, toys and lunch boxes again. Please remind your child to look in the lost and found if they are missing something. It really helps if their name is written somewhere on the items so we can make sure it is returned to them.
Thanks again for all your help this year when things are needed. You all are Great.

Parents and Guardians,
Safety of our students, faculty and staff members, remain our top priority. With that being said, I would like to remind all parents and guardians that drop off students in the mornings, and pick up in the afternoons, that the school zones are cell phone free while you are operating a vehicle. I thank each and every one of you for your continued cooperation in ensuring the safety of the children, which in turn creates a positive learning environment for them.
