1st Annual RJHS Science Fair
The science fair will be held on May 17th, 2024.
- The deadline for Science Fair Applications is May 2nd (this is so that we know how many projects to set up for)
- All Participants of the Science Fair will be excused from class for the day so that they may present their project.
- Parents will be allowed to attend and RJHS students will attend the science fair through their science classes.
- There will be prizes and awards for participants such as goody bags and recognition of best of show.
*As an incentive for project submission Science Fair Projects will be allowed to count as a grade for the science semester test. If a student is scheduled to take the science semester test then they can complete their science project and it will be counted as a grade instead of the student having to take the science semester test. If a student is not required to take the semester test the grade on their science project can be counted as a semester test grade but will not be able to drop their overall science grade.
****To make sure that students are fulfilling their part of the project assignment we will no longer allow students to work in partnership to complete their science fair project. This is to ensure that each student gets the grade that they deserve and put forth their best efforts.
9th Grade Independent Reading Project
Ninth grade English classes have begun their fourth quarter indie reading projects: finding important words or phrases beginning with 22 of the 26 letters of the alphabet to connect to literary elements using the CER process. All students must have a novel that is not based upon a film to read for this quarter. These ABC Projects are due May 17th.
