Two Months Left of School
Central Elementary is as busy as ever with less than two months left of the school year. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are working hard and getting ready to take the MAP Assessments at the beginning of May. Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade students continue to work hard on their foundational reading and math skills. Field trips and other fun student activities are right around the corner. The Total Solar Eclipse is this Monday. Please read below for details on upcoming events taking place during the month of April and other information.
As is always the case, please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to help and support our students and families.

Spelling Bee at Central Elementary
We held our Central Elementary Spelling Bee this past Monday. We had 27 4th and 5th grade students participate. All students showed courage to get up on stage to spell words in front of their peers, teachers, and parents. We are proud of all of our participants.
Our first place student moves on to East Central College's Regional Spelling Bee on April 27.
PTO Meeting
Our next PTO meeting is on April 15 at 5:00 in our library.
We will be planning for Teacher Appreciation Week and other end of the year events.

We are proud to have both of these fantastic educators in our building. Both go above and beyond for our students, for their colleagues, and for Central Elementary. They were nominated by their colleagues for this recognition.
