Week of April 15 - April 19
Superintendent Information
Dear Jaguar Friends & Families,
Busy week at Easton as our secondary students are leaving on Tuesday for a two-night camping trip to Camp Delany as part of our Outdoor Education program. Our staff team has been planning this trip for months and both our staff and students are ready to go!
Another topic that we are excited about is the launch of our new Easton School App and website. As we are still fine tuning a couple of things, please check your email on Monday afternoon regarding the launch and let us know your feedback. Our improved website will be launched later in the week.
Lastly, congratulations to the High School Track and Field team that had a strong showing at the Kittitas Rally Track meet. We had nine(9) athletes that set the personal records in their events. Also please take a look at the great action photos below courtesy of Mr. Penoyer.

Easton School District is Hiring!
After 14 wonderful years at Easton School, Mrs. Ofelia Todd will be retiring at the end of the 2023/24 school year. Mrs. Todd will be missed by all but we are excited for her and her next chapter. As a result, we need a Full-Time Para-Educator for next year.
After several years without one, we are looking for a Part Time Music Teacher. The teaching will position is flexible but will include classes at the elementary and at the secondary level.
Lastly, we are in need of Bus Drivers. Part Time Bus Drivers are needed in order for us to provide the opportunities we want to provide to our students field trips, sports and just the day to day pick up and drop off.
We have great students and a very update to date bus fleet. If you are looking for an awesome part time position, please consider serving as a part time Bus Driver for Easton. In addition, the district will pay for any and all CDL training costs.
If you would like to work with great students and a great staff, please visit our website at https://www.easton.wednet.edu/district/human-resources/ and join the Easton team!

Easton Sport Court Improvements
Improvements to Easton's existing outdoor tennis/basketball court were approved at the March 26 School Board meeting. Using funding from the district's Capital Projects fund and statewide purchasing contract, the improved sport court will feature basketball, volleyball, pickleball, screening, as well as equipment upgrades in the gym. The goal is to have the improved sports court be used by our PE classes, athletic teams, and the community during non-school hours.
Improvement work is slated to begin later this Spring/Summer with a tentative finish date of late August.
