PIC Parent Update

Happy Friday,
It has been very busy around PIC. Today was a very fun day with a trip to PHS to see Annie Jr. and our book title reveal. If you guessed the book, Fish in a Tree, you were correct. Be sure to check your child's folder for information on One Book, One School. I wanted to give you a quick health update about myself. My cancer treatment timeline has been moved back. It looks like I may be here at PIC until at least Spring Break. I am hoping to get some more definitive information next week. No matter when I leave for treatment, we are ready for a smooth transition. I'd like to thank you for all the nice messages, cards, calls, and gifts. I am truly humbled and feel your love and support. Enjoy your weekend!

5 Essentials Parent Survey
Just a reminder, if you have not yet taken the survey WE NEED YOU. We need at least 20% parent participation to get valid data. We are currently at 14%.
Lost and Found
Illinois Science Assessment (Grade 5 Only) March 12 and IAR April 8-12
Parents, please mark your calendars with the Illinois Science Assessment and Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) dates. We ask that students come prepared by getting a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast. Students will need working headphones and charged devices. Please check with your child or their teacher to be sure they have functioning headphones. We ask that you avoid making any appointments during school hours on these dates if possible. Together we will continue to GROW GREATNESS.

Chromebooks - We need your help
We are noticing an influx of students who come in with dead Chromebooks or they are forgetting to bring Chromebooks to school. We do have a cart of extras but we've been running out. Please help us by checking on your child's Chromebook. Remind them to charge daily and put them in their book bag.
