Attention: 8th Grade Parents
On Friday, parents and students should have received an invitation to the 8th Grade Banquet. The banquet will be held on Friday, May 17. More information coming soon about the event. Make sure to save the date!
In addition, parents, you will receive information from the 8th grade counselor, Amber Payne, regarding their course selection for 9th grade. Stay tuned for these emails to keep you up-to-date on end-of-the-year events for our 8th graders as they finish out middle school.
Congrats to Our Golf Teams!
The girls' golf team also wrapped up their season on Tuesday at Highland Park Golf Course for their Metro Championship. The PIzitz Girls' team placed 2nd, as well. Under rainy and cold conditions, they persevered and once again made their school proud. Out of 24 golfers, Allie Pair had the 4th lowest score, Charlotte Anne Newell finished 7th, and Divya Ramani tied for 10th.
What a great season for both of our golf teams!
No school on Friday, April 19. Enjoy the long weekend!
Girls' Audition Choir
Girls’ Choir auditions will take place April 29-May 3 beginning during 8th period. Any 6th or 7th Grade girls are eligible to audition for the Girls’ Choir. Come by the choir room to sign up for an audition time and pick up the audition information.
Attention: 8th Grade Students & Parents!
8th Graders and 8th Grade Parents: Do you have any pictures of you and your friends over the years at Pizitz? Email them to Ms. Lushington at lushingtonhm@vhcs.us so we can showcase them at the 8th Grade Banquet in May! Mark your calendars now for the evening of May 17 to celebrate your time at Pizitz with your 8th grade friends and teachers.
Interested in Being a Library Assistant?
Come by the library to get information and an application from Mrs. Smith or Mrs. Wilson. All applications must be returned no later than Tuesday, April 30.
Interested in Wrestling?
Boys TRY Wrestling will be April 30th & May 2nd from 4:15-5:30 at the VHHS Wrestling Room. Parents will transport wrestlers from Pizitz to VHHS. They will pick up in front of VHHS afterwards. All required AHSAA and VHCS documentation must be completed in order to participate. Join the Google Classroom (tcltkac) or email Coach Nick Tucker (tuckernc@vhsc.us) for more information.
Girls' Bowling Team Tryouts
All rising 7th and 8th grade girls looking for a fun activity, check out the Girls' Bowling team! This is a short seasonal sport that starts in October and is over at the start of December. All information and the interest form can be found on Google Classroom- code 5id2shr Tryouts are April 22 and 23 at Vestavia Bowl. Any questions- ask Coach Knickrehm C117
Pizitz Volleyball Tryouts
Any current 6th or 7th grader interested in trying out for the 2024 Pizitz volleyball team should join the Google Classroom (Code: y5rl6tr) for more information about the tryout process. Tryouts will take place May 6th, 8th, 9th, and 10th.

- Girls 4x400m Relay team - 1st with Anna Grace Corley, Ruth Farmer, Audrey McFarland, Makenzie Currie
- Grace Won - 1st in the 800m run
- Abby Whyte - 1st in Pole Vault
- Sofia Ye - 1st in Long Jump, 1st in Triple Jump
- Creed Booher - 1st in the 300m hurdles, 3rd in the 110m hurdles
- Carter Allred - 1st in the 400m dash, 3rd in High Jump
- Boys 4x400m Relay team - 1st with Brooks McInnis, Carter Allred, Creed Booher, and David McBrayer

VHHS Volleyball Tryouts

VHHS Baseball Tryouts for the 2024-2025 School Year
Baseball tryouts are for all upcoming 8th and 9th Graders plus any 10th-12th Graders who would like to try out that are currently NOT on the team.

- June 4: 8th Grade 12:30-2:00
- June 5: ALL Grades Together 12:30-2:30
- June 6: ALL Grades Together 12:30-2:00
