Increased Traffic on Cardinal Drive
MREC, SGC, and MMS families, be sure to save some extra time for morning drop-off and afternoon pickup when we return from Spring Break. Due to the closure of Harrison Drive, there will be increased traffic on Cardinal Drive as buses will be rerouted. To manage this, the City of Melissa and Melissa ISD are teaming up to provide additional police officers to assist with traffic flow. We appreciate your understanding and patience as everyone adjusts to the new routes and traffic patterns.
Bus Riders, Download the New My Ride K-12 App
If you have a student who rides the bus, now through May 1, 2024, please download the My Ride K-12 app. The current app, Ride 360 app used to provide our families with student transportation information will be retired and replaced with an updated app, My Ride K-12. It is available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We encourage all current users to download the new app to continue accessing updated transportation information for your student(s). Your existing usernames and passwords from Ride 360 will carry over into My Ride K-12.
Download My Ride K-12 here: Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android)
MySchoolBucks Increase Processing Fee
On March 7, MySchoolBucks increased their per-payment credit card fee to $3.25 for those who make online payments to their student cafeteria accounts. A βpaymentβ is any time you add money to your family MySchoolBucks account (not every meal purchased). This includes auto payments and one-time funds. According to MySchoolBucks, the fee increase is due to rising payment processing interchange fees and increases in operational costs. Any parents/guardians with an active account should have received a notification via email from MySchoolBucks detailing these changes.
