The St. Joseph event has come to an end! Gray Matter finished qualification matches ranked 6th and had the pleasure of working with teams 894 and 5227 during the playoffs. Our team set the event high score of 103 points in semifinals match 10-1. Amazing job to all the teams who competed!

Our Culinary class had an unforgettable day at Frankenmuth's renowned Bavarian Inn this week. Students dove into the culinary world, meeting with the head of HR to explore industry insights and the importance of guest service. An incredible tour led by the GM showcased every nook of the restaurant, topped with a hands-on pretzel-making session rich with history.

The cherry on top of this scrumptious experience was savoring the Bavarian Inn's famous chicken, mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, salads, and the irresistible German dessert, Butterhorns.

Yearbook Photo Requirements

1. Traditional Head & Shoulder pose only (absolutely no hands showing)

2. No props in the background

3. Dress appropriately for the photo to be used

4. No t-shirts, varsity jackets, hats or informal attire

5. No soft-focus effects as these will not produce well

6. No studio or student name imprints on front of picture

7. Full color (no black and white)

Photo Size Requirement 2.5” x 3.5” (printable surface wallet size)

Head Size (when measured top of head to tip of chin): 1.25” to 1.5”

DO NOT CUT OFF THE TOP OF YOUR HAIRLINE!

All electronic photos must be a minimum 300-400 dpi jpg or jpeg format.

Note: ONLY those photos meeting the above guidelines will be accepted

for inclusion in the yearbook pages. Otherwise, we will use the student’s

Lifetouch photo, or the student will be listed as “not pictured”.

PLEASE! Also turn in a baby/toddler photo and additional photos of

you and your friend groups to be used during the senior video.

Not only will this amazing program lighten the load on your wallet (we all know kids can eat their way through a pantry), but it'll save you precious time in the morning.

Now, here's the nitty-gritty: Although the meals are free, we do need all our parents to fill out the new free/reduced lunch application. This data is super important as it helps secure state and federal funding for this fantastic initiative.

Varsity Girls Basketball 3/8

The Meridian girls' varsity basketball team defeated Hemlock in tonight's district final by a score of 59-47. Lauren Borsenik led Hemlock with 23 points to go along with 12 rebounds and 3 steals. Hannah Borsenik followed with 8 points and 4 rebounds. Kylee Miller also scored 8 points. Victoria Hauffe added 5 points.
Meridian was led by Haden McLaughlin with 23 points. Grace Chinavare and Josie Barriger each scored 9 points. Rileigh Smith scored 6 points, and McKenna Pratt scored 5 points.

Coach Neumeyer would like to thank all of the players for their hard work and dedication this season and during the off-season, particularly our four seniors: Lauren Borsenik, Hannah Borsenik, Jaedyn Mallek, and Kylee Miller. You have left an incredible impact on the Hemlock girls' basketball program, and you will be missed.
