Take Flight with Ms. Reams' Class!
In March, Ms. Reams' third-grade class delved into the accomplishments of the Wright brothers through their reading focus. After exploring the challenges faced by the renowned brothers and other aviators, students elevated their learning by creating their own flying designs. Transforming one of the hallways into a runway, they conducted tests on the aircraft. To conclude the project, all flight data was consolidated into a class graph.
Check out some of their designs!
MIDVIEW WEST SPELLING BEE
Over the past few weeks, our third and fourth-grade classes organized individual spelling bees, with the champions from each class moving on to the Midview West Spelling Bee. The participants dedicated weeks to studying their word lists and gearing up for the event. Every competitor successfully made it through the initial rounds, showcasing their impressive spelling abilities.
A big shoutout to Mr. O'Neill for his fantastic role as our pronouncer, and special thanks to Mrs. Eppich and Ms. Rogerson, our dedicated bee advisors. We also extend our gratitude to our judges, Mrs. Brandenburg, Miss Loudermilk, and Mrs. Reichle, for their contributions to the success of our spelling bee.
Our top three went on to compete in the county bee on Thursday, April 11th. Congratulations to all our talented competitors!
