Science Wing Entrance Change
Over spring break abatement work was done in the science wing. This work has passed all air quality tests upon its completion. The science wing will not be accessible moving forward as construction work will continue in this area. The area will be securely blocked off with signs indicating so. There will be an access exit if such an emergency arises in the buidling. This to will have signs to indicate route.
All classroms that use the science wing for emergency exits also have an alternative route and staff and students will be reviewing the alternative paths.
The buzzer system that was at the science wing doors has been moved to the cafeteria doors that come from the back side of the school. This is where students who arrive late or come back from job training will need to enter the building. The buzzer system is the same system.
We thank you for your cooperation and flexibility during this construction phase. If you have any questions please contact Stacy Price at sprice@taschools.org or 906.293.3201.
A Message from Ms. Palmer...
As I make my transition as the 7-12 counselor here at Newberry Area Schools I wanted to send out a quick message to all parents and students. Although I am leaving day to day counseling at the school I will still stay on virtually for several different things. I will still be keeping scholarships up to date for seniors and will be available for questions as these students are transitioning to their next stage of life. I will keep my email for any questions throughout the end of the year, so please feel free to use that. Students and parents have been a part of my life for the better part of a decade and it is beyond my pleasure to help in any way I can. Although email is the best contact, my extension at the school will still be active. However, please note that I will not be checking it everyday. Finally, I wanted to thank all of you for sharing your/your child's education journey with me.
Sincerely,
Ms. Palmer
