Coming Soon: Author Visit at Sward

Wendy Hornik, the Author of "Harriet Follows Her Heart" will be visiting our Sward Library. Every class will get to hear the story of Harriet the Hippo who wants to be the very first Hippo dancer, and when Harriet shares her dreams with her family and friends she is discouraged from following her dreams. However, her grandmother encourages her to follow her heart. We find out if Harriet listens to her grandmother and follows her dream! Wendy Hornik will also have literacy activities for grades K-2 and speak about the writing process with grades 3-5.

If you wish to order the book, "Harriet Follows Her Heart", a signed copy will be available for purchase. The order forms already went home, but additional copies will be available on Tuesday, February 13th! Hardcover copies are $18 and paperbacks are $15.
