Christina School District Hybrid/Virtual Model

Parents will be receiving a mailer with bus information and cohort information for their child. All students Virtual or Hybrid will remain with the teachers they currently have. With the exception of electives which change each marking period. A Hybrid/Virtual schedule will be sent out to parents by or before the beginning of next week.
Notes from the Nurse!
Good Morning,
I just wanted to say welcome to all of our families returning to/new to Shue Medill Middle School.
The school Health office is open and I can be reached by phone or email for any questions or school health needs. I will be in the office M-T and Thurs-Fri, from 7:00a-2:30p. I can be reached by email on Wednesdays.
I have attached the most common forms needed for the beginning of the school year.
Students who have Allergy/Asthma/Diabetic/Medical care plans, please have them completed by your health care provider. They can be sent to the school health office via email or fax.
Reminder: Physicals for the 20/2021 school year are due. Please send in your updated school physicals and immunization record after your next yearly appointment.
Immunizations that are needed for middle school are: Tdap (adult Tetanus) Menectra (Meningitis). Contact your Health Care Provider with any questions.
If your student has supplies or medications that need to come to school I will be available by appointment only. Appointment Dates are 10/26 and 27 (Monday/Tuesday) 7:30a-2:00p. 10/29 and 30 (Thursday and Friday) 7:30am-2:00p.
Appointments can by made via email. Please have all forms completed prior to appointment time.

Updated Blue/White Calendar and Report Card schedule

Uniforms
The grade level colors are indicated at the top. Bottoms can be tan, blue or black for every grade level. You do not have to purchase shirts from us, you can also get them from local department stores. The short sleeve shirts need to be plain with a color and the sweatshirts also need to be plain with no hood.

Virtual Schedule for Wednesdays
This week we will have our very first Wednesday Support Schedule on September 23.
These are the scheduled times:
8:00 - 9:00 a.m. - English support time
9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Math support time
10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Social Studies support time
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Science support time
12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. - Lunch time
12:45 p.m. - 1: 15 p.m. - Meet with your homeroom teacher for Social/Emotional support lessons
1:20 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. - Elective support time
On this day teachers will be available to meet with small groups of students and provide support on assignments during the designated times above. Our counselors will also be pulling small groups for counseling supports and deans will be pulling students for restorative circles and goal setting.
