AP Testing Info
AP testing begins May 6! The testing schedule is available on the PHHS calendar on our website. Morning exams must begin by 8 AM, and students should arrive at the testing area no later than 7:40 AM. Afternoon exams must begin by 12:00 noon, and students should arrive at the testing area by 11:40 AM. The end time for the tests is approximate. Students are excused from their classes on the day they take an AP exam and can leave when their exam is done, but may need to make up work from the classes they missed.
Even if a student is not taking any AP exams this year, one or more of their classes may temporarily meet in another classroom because of the exam schedule. Students should look for signs in the halls and listen for further directions from their teacher. We will also be asking students to avoid certain hallways and keep noise to a minimum in the testing area. Good luck to all our students taking their AP tests, and we appreciate the cooperation from all of the students and staff involved in this process!
Jr. Women in Business
We have opened the application for our Jr. Women in Business (WIB) Program for the 2024-2025 school year.
The Jr. WIB Scholarship Program awards $1,000 scholarships to female high school seniors attending a public or private high school within the boundaries of the Canyons and Jordan School Districts. These students are selected for their desire to serve their community and be actively engaged with the South Valley Chamber Women in Business program.
For the 2023-2024 school year we were able to double the program to 22 young ladies! They have had the opportunity to participate in so many amazing Women in Business events that we host, along with job shadow opportunities, an assigned mentor, and the competition of a volunteer project. It has been an amazing year! Our WIB events created unique networking opportunities for them with our guest speakers who have included Katy Welkie (CEO, Primary Children’s), Crystal Maggelet (CEO, FJ Management/Maverick), Mark & Sally Dietlein (Co-Founders, Hale Centre Theatre), Tami Steggell (Owner, Ruby Snap Cookies), and many more. We are so proud of our program and the experience that it creates for these young ladies each year.
The deadline for applications to be submitted is May 3rd.
