I thank our Tiger Family for an excellent week of STAAR testing. I am happy to share that our attendance during testing was remarkable, and it is evident that everyone involved was well-prepared. Our Tigers approached their tests with energy, effort, and concentration. This week, we will focus on reviewing for our remaining STAAR exams. Biology, US History, and Algebra gear up for their big days in the coming weeks. Our CKH theme for April is perseverance, and our goal is to Finish Strong! Just to remind you, this week marks the first week of the final six weeks of the school year. Can you believe it!? Families, Report Cards for the 5th 6- weeks are available electronically this Friday. Please review and communicate with teachers as necessary. You can access your child's Report Cards on either the Home Access Center or Canvas. Grade Level Attendance Competition - Pizza Party Announced!
We are thrilled to announce the grade level winner of the 5th 6-week attendance competition. The announcement will be made tomorrow during the morning announcements. This is the first time we are hosting such a competition, and we are delighted to reward our students for having strong attendance. We will continue to monitor attendance throughout the last 6 weeks of school and celebrate those who have the strongest attendance with another pizza party on the last week of school. We appreciate your support and dedication to helping our tigers succeed. Thank you for encouraging your tiger to come to school every day, ready to learn.
Social Media - Dangers, Conversations, Threats - Let's Prevent
This is just a friendly reminder that our campus staff and administration monitor social media communication. It is important that you have conversations with your child about the dangers and consequences that a threatening message made in a text group can have if it gets out to the wider public. Please be aware that any student who makes a threat of harm to another student or staff member will face disciplinary action to the fullest extent possible, and they may also face legal consequences. This message serves as a reminder to monitor and have conversations with your children about appropriate behavior in person and on social media at all times.
Let's Review Student Procedures for a Disturbance on Campus
It is always important to review proper student procedures from time to time. Let's review what to do when there is a disturbance on campus. We share with our students through announcements, and other means that if they ever encounter a situation of danger or an altercation or disturbance between any students, they should move away from the situation and allow campus staff to approach and handle any situation appropriately. What we don't want is for students to crowd a minor situation by approaching it. Crowds of onlookers can cause an unsafe situation in itself. It also prevents our staff from reaching the situation quickly. Please have conversations with your students, whether they are at school or out in public, to keep their distance during any disturbance and let the appropriate officials handle it. This ensures that we stay safe at all times.
