Martin School Family Update

Dear Martin Families and Caregivers,

As you can see from the pictures, our third graders have been transforming into colonials! Third graders have been having a wonderful time visiting the Little Red School House and Garrison House this week. 3B--You're next!

Also, next week is our big Scholastic Book Fair! Our library will soon be transformed into and incredible book store. Want to see the transformation for yourself? Come join us on Family Night and be a part of the fun! Our Book Fair Family Night is scheduled for Thursday, March 14 from 6-8pm. We'll have books, leprechaun traps, a bake sale, and more!

And don't forget, next week is a school-wide spirit week! As always, it's optional to participate.

Today is International Social-Emotional Learning Day! Today, across the country and around the world, schools are celebrating the importance of social-emotional learning and honoring students for all the work they’re doing to build these critical life skills. Today, Martin School celebrated students for their champion efforts at being kind and empathetic. See the picture below for students who were recognized as Social Emotional Learning Champions. Students received a certificate, bracelet, and were announced this morning.

Even when it’s cold, we’ll be going outside! Students need fresh air and a break outdoors when the weather allows. Please make sure your children come to school with coats, hats, and gloves.

Is getting your child to wear a coat a challenge? Let us know! We’re happy to support you and work with your child to make this happen.
