CLIO INTERMEDIATE
APRIL 12 UPDATE
HAPPY SPRING FROM CIS!
I hope everyone enjoyed their Spring Break and are ready for the home stretch of the 23-24 school year. It is hard to believe that we are in April already and making preparations for the end of year activities and thinking ahead to the 24-25 school year. As I have said previously, we have enjoyed our temporary home at Edgerton this year, but are getting very excited for the move back to our updated permanent home at CIS. I have been in the building numerous times to see the progress and discuss plans for our return home. All of the updates that are being done will create a tremendous learning environment for our students and we are thankful for the support of the Clio community.

APRIL ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE
UNIFIED CHAMPIONS CREW HELPS SPREAD AUTISM AWARENESS/ACCEPTANCE
CIS Unified Champions Crew has worked hard to spread awareness and kindness this month for Autism Awareness/Acceptance Month. They helped to create a kindness calendar for the students at CIS for the month of April. We had the whole school wear blue on April 2 and passed out puzzle piece heart stickers. They also helped to make this tree. The Unified Champions Crew made the ribbon and the tree along with some puzzle pieces. Students at CIS helped in making the tree bloom by adding puzzle pieces showing how we are all different in our own way.
(All students were given a blank puzzle piece with the following:
We are all different in our own special way! People with Autism have brains that work differently from other people. As a result, they may not act or behave like everyone else all the time. It is important to accept others for their differences and most of all...Be Kind!
Color the puzzle piece to show what makes you different!)
