We hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the early signs of spring. As we transition into March, we have several important updates and reminders to share with you.
Important Dates:
ELPA Exams: Please be reminded that our students will be taking the ELPA exams from March 4th to March 15th, 2024. Your support in ensuring that students are present and prepared for these assessments is greatly appreciated.
ATLAS Writing Assessments: Following the ELPA exams, our students will be undertaking the ATLAS writing assessments from March 12th to March 15th, 2024. We kindly ask for your assistance in encouraging your children to do their best during this period.
Spring Break: Spring Break is just around the corner, scheduled for March 18th to March 22nd, 2024. We hope our students and families have a rejuvenating and enjoyable break.
Upcoming Events and Activities:
Parental Involvement Events: Please mark your calendars for the upcoming Watson Night at the Museum of Discovery on Thursday, March 7th, 2024, and Bingo for Books on Thursday, March 28th, 2024. We encourage your participation and support in these events.
Field Trips: Throughout the month, we have planned various exciting field trips for our students. Please stay updated on the specific dates and details provided by your child's teacher.
Graduation Portraits: Kindergarten and fifth-grade students will be taking graduation portraits on Friday, March 8th, 2024. Please ensure your child is prepared for this special occasion.
Double Good School-wide Fundraiser:
Information regarding our Double Good school-wide fundraiser will be coming home with your child throughout this week. We encourage you to share the links with your family and friends, as well as across social media platforms. Your contributions will directly support the needs of our students and teachers at Watson Elementary.
