We hope our students and families had a relaxing and enjoyable Spring Break. It was great to have our students back in the building this week.

Prior to the break, we had a lot of exciting activities happening. Our basketball season officially wrapped up. We are very thankful for our coaches and players who represented our school so well. Our Elementary and Junior High students also went on their annual ski trip to Alliance. Although it was delayed, it was a great two days of skiing for everyone.

Heading into April, our Athletics turn their focus to badminton. There will be several different tournaments throughout the month. Our Gr. 1s and 3s will also begin their season of elementary swimming lessons on April 22nd.

Next week, we are hosting a Spring Food Drive to support the Flagstaff Food Bank. The information came home with students this week. We have assigned grades with different items, and students can earn Squad points. However, this list is only a suggestion, and we welcome any donations if families can provide them.

We are closing in on Easter Weekend. Students will have this Friday and Monday off. We wish everyone a wonderful Easter and hopefully a dose of Spring weather to accompany it!

As of January 15, 2024 we have switched to online permission forms for field trips and extra curricular activities. You will go to the same site that you pay your school fees online. There will be a NEW heading called field/athletic trips where you can find your online field trip form. If you have any questions, please contact the office.

It's Spring again, so time for the Travel Club's annual flower and vegetable fundraiser! This year we are running the fundraiser through Forster's Greenhouses from March 26 to April 9. The plants will be delivered to individual customers by the traveller who sold them in mid-May (around Mother's Day). If you have not been approached by a traveller but would still like to support our fundraiser, please contact Mrs. Zimmer via email (vzimmer@brsd.ab.ca) or at the school. I wanted to let you know about an exciting opportunity for your artistic Youth! The ACACA (Alberta Community Art Club Association) Is hosting a Central Zone art show happening May 9th to 12th and a North Zone Show June 13th to 16th at the Chuck MacLean Arts Centre in Camrose Alberta and are in search of amazing youth artwork from Youth ages 15-18.

We are excited to work with the ACACA to put on these vital art shows in Alberta and are reaching out to invite all youth ages 15-18 to submit and exhibit!

In a few easy steps you can be a part of the association and showings this year!

1. Become a ACACA member (Deadline Extended to April 1st!)
