Cada año un grupo de bibliotecarias de todas las partes del estado selecciona libros excelentes que están escritos en español o que son bilingües. Los libros son elegidos para niños de 5 hasta 12 años, entonces todos los estudiantes de Ridgetop y sus familias están invitados a participar. Los libros representan los beneficios de ser bilingüe y representan una perspectiva multicultural. La participación en este programa es completamente opcional. Los libros están disponibles para desarrollar el idioma español y un deseo para la lectura.

What is the Tejas Star Reading Program?

Every year a group of librarians from across Texas review and select newly published book that are written in Spanish or that are bilingual. The books on the list are intended for students who are 5-12, so all students and families at Ridgetop are welcome to participate in this program. The books on the Tejas Star list represent the benefits of being bilingual as well as a multicultural perspective. Participation in the program is completely optional. The reading list is intended to continue developing the Spanish language and a love of reading.
