Harrington Happenings

I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend, if you celebrate Easter I hope yesterday was filled with friends and family and there was a lot of laughter for everyone. April will be giving us a run for out money with the upcoming Nor Easter coming in on Thursday that will be sending us so snow! I don't know about you, but I'm done with Winter! Over the next few weeks, we will begin our Student Placement process for the upcoming school year. Below I've included a Parent Placement Google Form for you to fill out instead of sending an email, this will give me more information as we look at student placement. As always your input is important for the process, however I must reiterate, please do not request a certain teacher for your student(s). All of Harrington's teachers are highly efficient and supportive of all students.

DISMISSAL REMINDER:

Please remember that if you are changing the way in which your student will be dismissed on a particular day please send in a note with your student, or call the main office. Teachers will follow the consistent plans of that day unless there is notification from a parent/guardian to them directly. Students can be confused on dismissal plans which causes extensive confusion and a delay in the dismissal process. Again, please send in a note or call the office if you change the way your student will be getting home on any particular day.

Grades 3 & 4 will be taking their ELA MCAS starting next week. Please ensure your students get a good night's sleep, and eat a filling breakfast during the week. This year's MCAS Dates will be the following:

MCAS - ELA: April 8-12

• Grade 3: April 8-9
• Grade 4: April 10-11
• Make-ups the week of April 12

MCAS - Math: May 13-17

• Grade 4: May 13-14
• Grade 3: May 15-16
• Make-ups the week of May 17

Please plan accordingly any vacations or planned absences around these dates.

Save the date for Dine to Donate - April 2 at The Establishment! A portion of all dine in and take out orders will come directly back to our school. Just mention you are supporting Harrington!
