Week 4 of Campus Race to Zero Waste continues!
Theater Department joins the campaign to reduce waste on campus and treat it as a resource
The cast and stage crew of the upcoming performance of Clyde's, has been collecting all of their food scraps in their rehearsals and bringing them to be composted at the Knox farm!
You can enjoy the show this weekend and feel confident that the crew is composting all of their food scraps to make nutrient rich compost!

Eat Plant Forward & Repurpose your plastic bags!
Join us at our Plant Forward tabling event on Tuesday, Feb 20th, to learn about how our eating choices affect the planet. We will be in Seymour Gallery: 12am-2pm and 5pm-7pm!
Join us in Taylor Lounge, 2:30pm-4:30pm on Tuesday, Feb 20th as we collaborate with the Kleine Center to repurpose single use bags for Blessings in a Backpack!
Are you interested in some ways that you can reduce your waste on campus?
Would you like to collect your foodscraps and divert them from the landfill?
Join the Community Scale Composting Program at the Knox Farm and work with us to reduce our waste on campus and treat it as a resource!
Students, staff, and faculty are welcome to join our program. We ask that you apply with the link above and complete a 15 minute training with us before you begin the program.
We will offer compost trainings as needed and will host a more comprehensive workshop in Spring term.
Would you like to host an event with reusable dishes and cups?
Check out our Re Use kits for small gatherings and avoid the use of disposables!
We have the Re Use kits that can accommodate a group of 5-50 people. The link to reserve your kit may be found on the sustainability website. We will work with you to secure the reuse kits for your event and return them to be washed with Dining. The Re Use kits need to be reserved at least one week in advance of your event.
Would you like to recycle with confidence?
Remember:
We CAN recycle products #1-#5 and #7 in our conventional recycling.
We CANNOT Recycle #6, styrofoam, solo cups, and compostables (compostable eco cups cannot be recycled in conventional recycling).
Get involved with some of the clubs that are making positive impacts on campus!
S4S will meet at 8pm in the Sustainability Cottage to help kick off CR2ZW!
