RURAL MEDICINE SUMMER ACADEMY

UNC Rural Medicine Summer Academy (RMSA) is a partnership program between the UNC Department of Emergency Medicine and the UNC School of Medicine Office of Rural Initiatives to bring rising seniors to Chapel Hill for a 5-day experience where they will be introduced to a career in medicine. RMSA is designed to offer a hands-on immersive experience that will allow students to explore avenues such as medical simulation, mentorship opportunities, CPR certifications, shadowing, leadership workshops, and much more.

UNCG CHANCE

CHANCE is a summer college access program (July 17-20, 2024), that brings high school Latinx and Hispanic rising seniors from across North Carolina to UNCG for several days to get experience with college level classes and faculty, leadership and civic programming, cultural enrichment, and campus life. The campers learn

• About the resources and opportunities at UNCG

• Reside in a residence hall & eat in the dining hall

• Get mentored by UNCG students & meet staff, faculty, administrators, and alumni

Student Movement Against Cancer’s 4th annual Cancer Fighter Scholarship!

Applications are due on April 1, 2024 at 11:59pm (PT).

The Cancer Fighter Scholarship seeks to honor up to ten (10) graduating high school seniors from around the nation who have been leaders in the fight against cancer. This includes students who have battled cancer themselves, helped loved ones/friends through cancer, or led the fight against cancer in their school and community.

We would truly appreciate you passing along this scholarship information to any student or staff member that you believe should be made aware of the opportunity.

Student Movement Against Cancer (SMAC), Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower, encourage, and inspire the generation that ends cancer. To achieve this, SMAC is building a student-led network committed to fundraising for cancer causes and engaing in social, educational, and service activities that promote awareness and provide support for the cancer community.
