The Good News March 17, 2024
St. John XXIII Catholic School
Fifth Sunday of Lent
As Easter approaches, we are nearing the end of our Lenten preparations.
In this week's Gospel Jesus teaches his followers about the significance of serving others selflessly. He emphasizes the idea of prioritizing the needs of others above our own desires. By doing so, we not only show respect to God but also deepen our connection to Jesus.
To truly understand the teachings of Jesus, we must be willing to live out his message through acts of kindness and compassion towards one another. Choosing to be selfless rather than selfish helps us grow in our likeness to Jesus and reach our full potential.
When we show care and support to those around us, we not only demonstrate God's love but also reaffirm the purpose that God has given us in this meaningful life. Let us always strive to serve with love and humility, following the example that Jesus has set for us.
