Allen Eagle Escadrille TWIB Notes

All bands are required to perform at the Region 25 UIL Concert & Sight-Reading Contest on Wednesday, April 3rd. Students will be excused from classes during their performance block. Individual ensemble directors will establish final instructions for their band, See the chart below for each ensemble's call time and location. UIL performances are free and open to the public. You will need to check-in at the PAC with an ID prior to entering the PAC.

The Jazz Ensemble will perform at 4:00pm at Wylie East High School on Saturday, April 6th. Be on the lookout for a full itinerary from Mr. Baczewski.

All 2024-2025 Band students are required to attend our two movement camps and registration. Please make appropriate arrangements to be at all three events. Please know that 2024-2025 Band Fees payments are expected at registration. We will release the 2024-2025 Fees in next week's TWIB Notes.

• April 16 Movement Camp 1: 5pm-6:30pm (AHS Competition Gym)
• April 23 Movement Camp 2: 5pm-6:30pm (AHS Competition Gym)
• April 25 Registration: 5pm-8pm

If you are interested in trying out for drum major or SLT, we will begin our training/workshops this Tuesday. They will be held (mostly) on Wednesdays from 4:30pm-6pm in the AHS Band Hall. The first 45 minutes will be general leadership/SLT training and the second 45 minutes will be specific training for drum majors. AHS & LFC Wind Ensembles will be required to attend the first 45 minutes of the SLT workshops as part of their Musicianship Class. Seniors will be able to share their experiences with the class.

The AHS master schedule is being constructed based on our band classes. There will not be class conflicts with Dual Credit and STEAM classes. Do not assume that next year's band, Dual credit, or STEAM classes are the same class periods as this year.
