So many wonderful things coming up!

• Don't miss the many musical events in May. Starting off is our MS/HS Band concert this upcoming Wednesday, May 1st in the PAC at 6:30 pm. (see other upcoming dates at the end of this newsletter)

I absolutely LOVE all of the wonderful ways our students show their talents and are celebrated in the spring!

Each month a student in the senior class is chosen to be the OHS Student of the month. The student is selected based on scholarship, citizenship, leadership, and co-curricular activities. The March Student of the Month is Faith! Congratulations!

Congratulations go out to the following students and staff member for being chosen as this week's Fox Friday winners! Thank you for demonstrating characteristics of the Fox Four and for being such great role models!!

Congratulations to the OHS Forensics Team for bringing home 1 Gold Medal/perfect score, 4 Silver Medals, and 4 Bronze Medals from the State Meet in DeForest this past Friday night. The categories represented this year were Farrago, Poetry, Prose, Solo Humorous, and Solo Serious. Thank-you to all the participants for a wonderful season! A special congratulations to our Senior, Leyna. We will miss you! Mrs. Clinch is already looking forward to next season!

This year's Forensics team consisted of the following students: Leyna H, Katie K., Raina K, Brady K, Haley B, Kaia M, Ayla N, Tyler R, and Lexi R.

The Sources of Strength Peer Leaders gathered to celebrate the end of another successful year by enjoying a spread of treats catered by the Adult Advisors. Sources of Strength is a student driven program that focuses on uniting the high school to build a culture of hope, positivity, health, and strength.

Students in Mrs. Morse's Food for Life class participated in a Burger Contest as part of their nutrient unit on Proteins. Students worked cooperatively to create a recipe, prepare it, construct a poster, and present their new idea to a group of judges. The "Messed Up Burger" earned top honors created by Tucker, Julee, Nick, and with the help of Mrs. C. Their recipe was a well-seasoned patty, topped with bacon, lettuce, relish, and mayo/Thousand Island dressing on a toasted bun. Congratulations to all!

This week at South Hills golf course Drake M. led the foxes with a 90 on 18 holes while Tyler R. and Blake S. each posted a 98. Next the varsity competes in a scramble Saturday in Campbellsport.

Are you wondering what to do with your old yearbooks that are just collecting dust in your attic or basement? Please consider donating them to the Middle School/ High School Media Center! We are specifically looking for older yearbooks from the 1940's-1970's to complete our collection, but would be happy to take in any you would be willing to part with. We have some gaps in years we'd like to fill. Feel free to drop off those old yearbooks in the office!

Softball Fundraiser, April 28 at Festival Foods! Come out for a delicious lunch and help support OHS Softball!

Class dates are: June 10th thru the 14th 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Standard Price - $150

Omro High School Price - $115. Class is held at Omro High School, so if you are interested, please stop in the office, pick up a flyer and register today!

You are invited to join the Community Youth Group on May 1st from 6-8pm at the Omro Bowhunter's Club for a night of devotion, archery, snacks and soda! Hope to see you there!

It's that time of year!

STAFF AND TEACHER APPRECIATION week. Let's all pitch in and spread the week spoiling our staff and teachers. We are celebrating May 6th - 10th.

Our theme this year is Thank you for making our SCHOOL BRIGHT! We have a color planned for each day filled with treats, drinks, and supplies. (Except Thursday, the district admin are providing lunch)

It's that time of year...prom is coming up! It will be held Saturday, May 4 from 8-11pm at the Best Western Waterfront Premier Hotel in Oshkosh. Tickets will be sold next week for $20, and they will be $25 April 28-May 1. Tickets will not be sold after May 1. No tickets will be sold at the door and no entry after 9:30pm.

Looking for lasting bouquets and boutonnieres for Prom? Look no further than Amanda Albrecht for whatever you need!

Oshkosh North High School will be hosting a Dress Closet event, offering a wonderful selection of free prom dresses, shoes, and jewelry for area high school students.

Here are the details:

• Dates and Times: Friday, April 26 (4:00PM-5:30PM)

• Closet Location: Oshkosh North High School, enter through door 7 and shop in the foyer.

Show your Omro pride and spirit by ordering a MilisStrong Elementary Track Meet t-shirt! This year’s annual track meet will take place on Friday, May 24th. T-shirts will be delivered the week of the track meet so they can be worn on the 24th! All proceeds will go towards helping to cover the costs for the “Forever Foxes Outdoor Learning Classroom” at OES.

Outagamie & Winnebago County Residents - Mark your calendars for the 35th Parent Resource Fair. This FREE event is for parents and parents-to-be of any age. Parents will learn about resources that are here for them and their dependent children as they navigate through their developing years to become stable and thriving families!

Attendance matters and SO DO YOU!! Missing just two days a MONTH can add up to losing an entire year of school by graduation. Be an Attendance H.E.R.O! Here Everyday, Ready, On time!!

Students MUST be CALLED IN EVERY DAY that they are absent, unless they have a pre-arranged absence form filled out. Please call the attendance line and leave a message so we are aware that your student will not be in school. If the absence is illness related, please also note any symptoms they are having. Appointments may also be left on the attendance line. Students who are active in sports must be called in 24 hours in advance to be able to participate in practice on the day of their appointments. A parent can access the the work permit site using these instructions. Payment is made directly to the department through the application, using a credit or debit card or by ACH direct withdrawal. Once the permit application process is complete, the Department mails a paper copy of the permit directly to the employer. Students, are you looking for a summer job? Come work for us at the school!! Job duties are custodial, maintenance and grounds. Pay is $13.50/hr. up to 40 hours per week (flexible) starting June 10th (flexible on start date) through mid-August.

Must be at least 16 years old. Pick up an application in the office! Dead line for applications is April 30, 2024.

Well Badger Resource Center is an information and referral (I&R) service for Wisconsin individuals and families. The Navigator is a free, confidential, online tool designed to help parents, caregivers, and professionals navigate mental and behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and young adults under the age of 21! Just answer a few questions about the child, and the Navigator provides a customized guide to connect the child with the resources and support they both need and deserve.
