RC3 Celebrates Black History Month
RC3's HOSA Chapter Competed at SLC
Last week, 34 students from the Health Science Academy traveled to Montgomery and competed in HOSA's State Leadership Conference. These students competed against other students from school districts throughout Alabama in healthcare related events and placed within the top 6 in the state:
- Trinity Dailey - 1st Place
- Jordan Ingram - 2nd Place
- Natalie Self & Alise Caputo - 2nd Place in Team Event
- Lily Matheson - 3rd Place
In addition, Avonlea Campbell, Caitlyn Bingel, Ashaaz Daredia, and Naveen Towhid were state finalists in their respective events. Several students received special recognitions at the conference this year. These students represented RC3 well, and we are so proud of them.
Alabama Home Builders Foundation
Founded in 1995, as the charitable arm of the Home Builders Association of Alabama, the Alabama Home Builders Foundation’s goal is to educate people of all ages about opportunities in the residential construction industry. To help achieve this goal, the Foundation offers scholarships to those students who are studying a residential trade such as carpentry, masonry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or construction management. They must be a resident of Alabama. They must be attending or enrolling in an accredited community college, technical school, university or approved vocational school in Alabama.
The deadline for application is March 15.

Please be aware that RC3 attendance policy and procedures may differ from your base school.
News from the Nurse
Parents, if your student tests positive for COVID, you may refer to your physician for guidelines. Hoover City Schools policy states students need to remain at home if they have a temperature of 100 degrees or higher. They must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication in order to return to school.

You MUST park in your assigned space every day. If you do not have an assigned parking space at RC3, you are NOT allowed to park on the campus.
Driving to RC3 is a privilege, not a right. There are consequences for failing to follow all rules associated with driving to and from RC3. For questions or concerns, please see Officer Thomas.
