New Bereavement Policy
We understand that the loss of a loved one is a challenging and emotional time. To support our staff during such difficult periods, we would like to announce a significant update to our leave policy.
As approved in our November 2023 Board meeting, Liberty Hill ISD now offers up to three paid days of bereavement leave in the event of the death of an immediate family member. This policy update, an amendment to policy DEC Local, is part of our ongoing effort to ensure our employees feel supported, not only in their professional lives, but also in their personal moments of need.
For more details on this policy and how to apply for bereavement leave, please visit our bereavement page or reach out to Lisa Garner, Benefits Coordinator (benefits@libertyhill.txed.net). We hope that this change brings some comfort during what can be a very challenging time.
Champion Educator Exchange - Spring 2024
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the Liberty Hill ISD experience and build upon the positive developments in our expanding district, we are excited to launch a series of teacher focus groups this spring. Your insights, experiences, and suggestions are invaluable to us as we strive to create an even more supportive and enriching environment for both our staff and students.
We'll be hosting three sessions across the district, designed to foster open dialogue and collaborative problem solving. This is an opportunity to voice your thoughts on how we can continue to grow and improve together in order to recruit and retain staff. To ensure a wide range of perspectives, we're asking interested teachers to sign up via a Google form, where you can select the most convenient date to attend.
Join us in shaping the future of Liberty Hill ISD. Together, we can make our district an even better place to teach, learn and grow.
HR Website
We're excited to share that we've begun implementing significant updates to our Liberty Hill ISD HR Website. These initial changes are just the beginning of a series of enhancements designed to improve your online experience and access to essential information. Stay tuned for more updates and improvements coming your way. We're committed to making our HR website a more user-friendly and informative resource for all our staff and community members. Your patience and feedback during this process are greatly appreciated!
If you have suggestions on how we can improve our website, please feel free to reach out to the HR Department.
