Classroom Valentines Party
Students enjoyed a variety of activities, games, and treats that were shared during their classroom Valentines Day Party. Thank you to all parents that volunteered to help out during these activities. Your help was greatly appreciated!
Kindergarten and 3rd grade partnered up to participate in a Valentines Math Graphing Activity. It was nice seeing some of the older students working so well with our youngest students in the building.

Read Across America Week
Students celebrated Read Across America Week and Dr. Seuss' Birthday February 26th-29th. Students got very creative with their outfits to match the designated dress-up days. Ms. Sheilah also made a birthday cake for Dr. Seuss that students and staff got to enjoy.
Dr. Seuss Door Decorating Contest
Students and Staff participated in a door decorating contest to help celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday. The top three places are as follows:

FFA Week- Barnyard Day
Students enjoyed touring through the FFA Barnyard. The elementary would like to thank Miss Reese and her FFA students for putting together this annual event. The students enjoyed the setup and the parade.
2nd Grade STEM Activity
Mrs. Mahan and Miss Millspaugh coordinated a STEM activity for their students to participate in to help reinforce skills taught in the classroom. The students enjoyed the activities. Thank you Mrs. Mahan and Miss Millspaugh for making learning fun!

Wiley Elementary Staff continues to recognize one student per grade level each month as our Student of the Month. Below are the students that were selected as February Students of the Month. We are very proud of each of these students and are happy to recognize them. Each student's recognition is well deserved.

Student Extracurriculars
Young Guns Rodeo Finals
Wiley Elementary is proud to recognize students that participate in events outside of the school setting. We have a small number of students that participate in the Young Guns Rodeo Winter Series which is a monthly event that takes place in Dodge City, Kansas the months of October through February. It is always a joy to hear the students share their stories of the events they participate in. I personally enjoy listening to them tell their friends and classmates about how much work they had to put forth in order to win the event and come out with a prize. Below is a list of students that we have that are apart of the Young Guns Winter Series and the events they participate in.

Gymnastics
Wiley Elementary has a few students that participate in Gymnastics. The following pictures were at the conclusion of a gymnastics meet in Russell, KS. The students that participated in this meet included; Jacklynn Milenski, Natalie Forgey, Rosyn Mick, Brecklyn May, Hadlee Milenski, and Nasya Forgey.
1st and 2nd Grade Basketball
On Sunday March 3rd, the 1st and 2nd grade rec basketball students participated in a tournament in Eads. The students that participated were excited to share their experience and enjoyed the opportunity. I would like to thank the crew at Eads that put this event together and allowed our students to participate.
