PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Dear Eagle Crest Families,
I'm thrilled to share with you the exciting news that the Colorado Shakespeare Festival Education Outreach Program paid us a visit recently. Collaborating with the Center for Violence Prevention at CU, they brought to life a performance of A Comedy of Errors and conducted workshops that brilliantly connected Shakespeare to discussions about bullying prevention and response. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of our PTO, our 3rd-5th graders had the privilege of immersing themselves in this engaging experience.
Throughout the workshops, the actors and their coordinator were effusive in their praise for our students and teachers. They travel from school to school, and I was delighted to learn that they found our Eagle Crest students exceptionally prepared, deeply engaged, and displaying profound critical thinking skills. During my visits to the classrooms, I witnessed our students' politeness, thoughtful responses, and eagerness to participate. What's even more commendable is their ability to connect the workshop content with the RISE behaviors we emphasize throughout our school.
This recognition reinforces what we already know to be true - Eagle Crest is a remarkable place with outstanding students, dedicated staff, and a wonderfully supportive community.
Wishing you all a fantastic weekend!
Warmly,
Amanda

LONGMONT FOOD RESCUE FOOD DRIVE
Eagle Crest is joining forces with Longmont Food Rescue this year for our annual Food Drive. The donation of items to the Longmont Food Rescue is a great way to support our community and is also an opportunity for students to gain real world leadership experience. At Eagle Crest, our 4th grade students and teachers will organize this collection of items from start to finish. We will be running the Collection this year from Monday, February 26th - Friday, March 8 . Please consider sending your student to school with items from the Wish List supplied below during these dates. Our school goal is to collect 1,000 items. Together we can help build a better world!

NOTE FROM MR. G
Hello Eagle Crest Community!
Over the past several weeks, your student has been progressing through a series of classes that I've titled "Paddles to Pickleball" where we've worked on paddle skills, quick reactions, athletic stances and finally culminating with modified pickleball play!
Without the generosity of 3rd Shot Pickleball, your student would not have had the chance to fully and authentically practice the sport of pickleball! Thank you to one of Longmont's newest businesses in helping Eagle Crest students move and learn through unique experiences!
Here is a flyer with more information about 3rd Shot Pickleball and below you can see their summer camp offerings for your consideration and family participation!
Be well!
