A Message From Your Principal
Greetings, Eames Way Families!
We certainly made the most of this week! All EWS students enjoyed another exciting edition of "Lunch Around the World" and learned about the beautiful country of Ireland! Special thank you to the McDonough Family for volunteering to present and share their family's Irish culture and traditions! Students were so impressed by the presentation AND live Irish Step Dance and Irish Fiddle performances!
Our 5th graders did a fantastic job playing in the District-Wide 5th Grade Volleyball Tournament last Wednesday night, placing 2nd overall! As Mrs. Milch and I broadcasted in our Thursday Morning Announcements, we couldn't be more proud of how our fifth students showed tremendous sportsmanship, grace, and camaraderie. Way to represent EWS and set a standard of excellence for all of our younger students!
In other exciting news, we were thrilled to see so many families join us for Trimester 2 Parent-Teacher Conferences! There was much to celebrate and we are always truly appreciative of our families' involvement in our school community!
Speaking of community, I would like to extend another heartfelt "Thank You" to the Marshfield Fire Department for providing a ride home to one of our kindergarten students as one of our EWS PTO Gala Prizes! Thomas DiCristofaro had the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER riding home on that fire engine! We're excited to showcase a few other EWS Gala prizes next week as Mrs. Milch and I relinquish our roles as Principal and Assistant Principal to two of our wonderful students!
Read on to see other great moments of learning and celebration at Eames Way School this week. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful weekend!
With Best Wishes,
Ms. Bishop, Principal

A healthy eating pattern includes: A variety of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, fat-free and low-fat dairy products, a variety of protein foods and oils.
Eating a healthy breakfast is associated with improved cognitive function (especially memory), reduced absenteeism, and improved mood.
Adequate hydration may also improve cognitive function in children and adolescents, which is important for learning.
The benefits of healthy eating reduce the risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, iron deficiency and dental caries (cavities).
Illnesses: If you are keeping your child home for more than a day or 2 due to illness- please contact Nurse White, especially if the illness is something that is of a contagious nature(Influenza, strep, covid, pink eye, stomach bug, hand foot and mouth, etc.). If you have any questions or concerns about illness/symptoms please feel free to reach out to me at 781-835-5090 ext 44500 or by email awhite@mpsd.org. I am happy to help guide you.
Please remember that if your child has been out sick they can return to school once they have been without fever, vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications and when their overall symptoms have improved.
If your child has an illness or injury that results in an absence for 5 or more days- a doctor’s note must be sent in upon returning to class with any restrictions and appropriate dates.
