Message From the Principal
Believe it or not, we only have five weeks of school left. These five weeks will be very busy though. Our 3rd-6th graders have been working hard taking ILEARN and will continue testing through the coming weeks. Kindergarten Round Up will take place on 4/25 from 5-7pm here at Lynwood. The week of 4/29 will also be National PE and Sports Week spirit week. The themes for those days are displayed below.
May kicks off our can food drive for the Goodwin Center. Students can turn in those items to the boxes that will be in the front lobby. There will be a box for each class, the class that brings in the most items will earn a popsicle party. The drive ends on 5/21. On 5/1, our Spring Fever Dance will take place here at Lynwood. Ticket information has been sent home, please feel free to reach out to the front office with any questions. On 5/3, we have our 6th grade dance, information will be sent to 6th grade families from their teachers. Be sure to join us on 5/14 at 5pm for our final PTO meeting of the school year.
Indy Mini will be bringing their mobile run to Lynwood on 5/15. Be sure to send your student in athletic clothes and shoes for that day. 5/17 will be our field day, be sure to send students in athletic clothes and shoes that are fine to get dirty. Teachers will be in contact about volunteering for this event. Lastly, our final awards and ceremonies will take place on 5/22. More information on these events are below in the upcoming events section.
Have a great week!

Culture Guide
E= Events: We cannot control things that happen
R= Response: We can control our response to the event
O=Outcome: Having a proper response will get the desired outcome.
This concept is powerful for all of us. Daily, many things happen that are out of our control. We can lash out or we can pause, think, and then respond. Pausing for reflection allows us to get the outcome that we need and want.
