April 27 , 2024
Greetings TVMS families,
We had a successful week of MCAP ELA testing and the majority of our students arrived at school on time, well rested and prepared with a charged laptop each day. Our 6th and 7th grade students will have a break from testing for a couple of weeks and will take the MCAP Math test May 21st and May 22nd. Our 8th grade students will take their MCAP Social Studies test the week of May 6th during their Social Studies classes.
Last Friday, April 19th we had an amazing Fine Arts Night! It was a wonderful display of artwork, singers, dancers, musicians, acting and improv. We had student emcees and a student stage crew. It was truly a display of Timberwolf talent! Huge thank you to Ms. Pope, Mr. Mills, Mr. Newberger, Ms. Lemen, Ms. Douglass, Ms. Bates and Mr. Sterling for organizing such a wonderful show.
I am looking forward to our Spring Orchestra and Choir concerts this upcoming week:
Tuesday, April 30- Spring Orchestra Concert, 6:30 PM at GPHS
Thursday, May 2- Spring Choir Concert, 6:30 PM at GPHS
Band will have their Spring concert later in the month on May 29th.
As we head into the final 7 weeks of the school year, we will focus on guiding our students to make positive choices, resolve conflicts constructively, and stay committed to their academics. Your support in reinforcing these values is invaluable. Together, we'll finish the year strong!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Mrs. Denise Young, Principal

IMPORTANT BUS REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Parents/guardians whose children are eligible for bus transportation are asked to register to receive bus service each year to help the school system plan for student transportation needs. The transportation registration process opened on Monday, April 8 and is open through May 31, to be completed online via HCPSS Connect Synergy. Registration must be done for each eligible child.
To be eligible for bus service, your child’s home address must be outside of a school’s walk zones. You can verify address eligibility in the HCPSS School Attendance Area Locator. After inputting your address, a window will appear that will indicate either bus or walk for each school level. Please note, the attendance area locator also includes a link for the bus stop locator, which is set for the current school year. Bus stop information for the 2024-2025 school year will be available in August.
You do not need to take any action if:
- Your child is not eligible for bus transportation
- Your child receives transportation as part of their Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan, or
- Your child is a graduating senior
Details on bus transportation registration, including a guide to register and scenarios families may see when registering, can be found online.
