Third Annual Scholarship Fundraiser
Come join us for a great evening out to support our students' futures! In the past two years we have raised over $22,500 to support student scholarships. We have already established several scholarships through these funds:
- Field of education scholarship - $1000
- Vocational trade Scholarship - $1000
- Carrie Austin scholarship - $500
- Direct to work scholarship - $500
We plan to continue with these scholarships and would like to add more when we are able. Our main goal is to be good stewards of the money that we are raising and to make sure that whatever scholarships we decide to give, we are able to fund them annually through the trust.
We will be offering childcare through the National Honor Society again this year!
If you are interested in childcare, please use the link below to sign up:

Instructional Success
Fifth and Sixth Grade
Students finished practicing different reading strategies and skills while reading novels in class. The 5th grade read The Kid in the Red Jacket and the 6th grade enjoyed reading Number the Stars. They created a one pager as the reading response as the culminating activity.
Title Math - Grade Four
Students in Title Math were tasked with sorting fraction cards and defending their decisions. Some groups elected to organize the cards from least to greatest, while other groups made matches using numbers, pictures, and words. From there, they then had to make comparisons using benchmark numbers 0, 1/2, 1.
Title Math - Grade One
Students in first grade Title Math have been practicing skip counting by fives and tens. They worked in pairs to count large collections of items using the ten frame structure for organization and accuracy.
Student Writing
Grade Eight
8th grade English students recently finished a poetry unit. In addition to reading a variety of poems, they also wrote some of their own. Many of them ended up being quite proud of their work, and a couple even entered their poem in the National Library of Poetry's annual competition.
