Principal's Corner
March is Reading Month was a hit! I hope that your student(s) enjoyed their pirate-themed events. Ask them about their virtual assembly and their end-of-the-month assembly where I "Walked the Plank". So much fun and laughter was had by all.
I wish everyone a pleasant Spring Break starting on a Half Day on Thursday, March 21st with dismissal at 11:20 AM.
Kindergarten Registration is now open on our school website: www.myeagles.org. Our Kindergarten Round Up will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd from 5 to 7 pm. We will have Food Trucks available for families to utilize as we welcome our newest Little Eagles to our school!
April is a wonderful time to get outside and explore the community as our spring season begins and the flowers start blooming. Consider visiting local parks, greenhouses, and other outdoor areas to explore the world around you! Continue to send in appropriate clothing for recess and our outdoor learning opportunities. Also, check out our Lost-and-Found locations to see if your student's belongings are here.
We have a Clothing Bin available in our overflow parking lot. If you are planning any Spring Cleaning, consider donating your textile materials there. Our school receives a donation per pound!
Wishing you all a wonderful April! Enjoy the sunshine!

News from the Nurse
Happy Spring, Little Eagles!
I hope you all have a fun and relaxing spring break.
April Showers bring May flowers and…….ALLERGY & ASTHMA SEASON!
If you suffer from allergies, you know the symptoms: coughing, sneezing, itchy eyes, runny nose, and a scratchy throat. Common allergens and irritants found in and around the home include pollen, dust mites, mold, insect droppings, pet dander, and secondhand smoke. Exposure to these allergens can bring about a serious asthma attack.
During an asthma attack, airways become narrowed and breathing can be extremely difficult. Other asthma triggers include: respiratory infections, pollen (trees, grasses, weeds), air pollution, food, allergies, cleaning products, perfumes, exercise, and cold air exposure. Common asthma symptoms include wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing. Asthma cannot be cured but it can be controlled.
Please fill out an Allergy or Asthma Action Plan for your student if needed – these forms are available in the nurse’s office. List allergy, triggers, medications, and phone numbers. Talk to your pediatrician about the best daily management for your child’s symptoms. Reach out to: paige.schlegel@myeagles.org with any questions.

Attendance Matters!
Showing up to school greatly impacts a student's academic success. Families play a crucial role in ensuring that a student gets to school safely and on time daily.
