Hello Families,

I had a wonderful weekend at the smART Festival seeing all of the amazing, talented, creative work done by our Bobcats! Thank you to all of the staff and volunteers who helped make this event a success!

Also, thank you to all the parents who joined me for Coffee with the Principal. I loved chatting with many of you and hearing your ideas and your concerns.

This month, as we continue to focus on building Empowered Learners, EUSD will also be focused on learning experiences that are Personalized. Each student receives instruction at the level just right for them. This corner of the Learning Model is seen in a number of ways, from a student’s iReady goals and individual learning plans, to immediate teacher feedback during a lesson and partner work with their peers.To learn more about Framework for the Future see the full Blueprint.

Families, for the safety of our children, please help the traffic go smoother by following all traffic rules and signage.

Kinder parents, please remember to park your car (not along a red curb) and walk your child up to the Kinder gate.

Please cross at all cross walks and not in between cars.

Escondido CATS and Education COMPACT are hosting a unique meeting via Zoom to gain a better understanding of how Escondido residents currently travel and would like to travel. This is why you, residents and commuters, are so important! This is the opportunity to use your voice, and speak on your concerns about traffic, congestion, and other mobility issues. Participating will provide CATS and COMPACT critical information needed to advocate for positive transportation changes in Escondido.

Monday, March 11th: Let's embrace losing an extra hour of sleep due to Daylight Savings with Pajama Day! Wear your PJs to school!

Family Day at Lunch for our 3rd grade families is on Tuesday, March 12 at 11:10 AM. Please bring your ID to sign into the office.

Our next ELAC meeting is on March 15th, at 8:15 AM in Room 28.

Save the date! Our final PTA association meeting is on March 19th, where we'll also hold our elections. Your voice matters—be there to help shape our future!

Restaurant Night at Chuck E. Cheese is March 20th. Parents, it's a great way to kick off Spring Break! More info and flyer to come.

Our jump rope unit is officially underway. The athletes are learning coordination and resilience and some have even already joined the one minute club!

Kids Heart Challenge has also kicked off! If you’ve already joined our team THANK YOU! If haven’t yet, don’t wait! Register TODAY at www.heart.org/schools or by downloading the AHA Schools App for Apple or Android.

Today’s Challenge: follow Finn’s Mission in your headquarters to learn Hands-Only CPR. Then SEND 10 messages to friends and family to share this life-saving skill!

In honor of the American Heart Association’s 100th anniversary, our goal is to have 100% of our families register and learn Hands-Only CPR by completing Finn’s Mission. Thank you for supporting our school and this life-saving program! Together, we are saving lives!
