It is time to submit session proposals for the 2024 OAHPERD Convention! This year's event is scheduled for October 7 and 8, 2024, at the University of Central Oklahoma. If you are interested in presenting or know someone who might be, please fill out the form and share it with others.
OAHPERD Convention 2024: Call for Poster Presentations
Oklahoma Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, & Dance (OAHPERD) CALL FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS 2024 OAHPERD Convention October 7-8 University of Central Oklahoma Will you be presenting research in your classes or on your campus this year? We invite you to also present your topic at the 2024 OAHPERD Convention and add a statewide poster presentation to your resume. Submit your abstract HERE no later than Friday, May 3, 2024. Professional Learning Opportunities & Resources in Oklahoma
Free Health Education Professional Development
The Oklahoma State Department of Education, in partnership with TSET, is excited to announce free workshops in June 2024. These workshops will be held in different regions of the state and are designed to support educators with evidence-based instructional strategies aligned with the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Health Education. Participants will explore resources that focus on how to develop students' life skills that they can apply in the real-world and enable them to achieve healthier habits. Registration Open: Oklahoma's Path Forward Annual Institute: Promoting Academics Through Health
To support the Health Education Act and provide resources to assist with the implementation of health education, the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) and Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) are excited to host Oklahoma's Path Forward Annual Institute: Promoting Academics Through Health. Be sure to register for the training on June 4th in Weatherford or June 5th in Tahlequah.
