Athletic Towel Service Bid
Motion Passed 6-0 (1 member absent)
The Board approved a recommendation to reject all bids received for athletic and physical education towel service. The District published a request for bids for towel service for the middle and high schools for the next two school years. Three bids were received. An alternative option with existing vendors was explored by District Administration which would result in a significant cost savings. Therefore, the towel service bids were rejected.
2024-2028 Mid-Valley Special Education Professional Agreement
Motion Passed 6-0 (1 member absent)
The Board approved the 2024-2028 Mid-Valley Special Education Professional Agreement. The Mid-Valley Special Education Cooperative (MVSEC) serves students with special needs from Batavia District 101, Central District 301, Kaneland District 302, St. Charles District 303, and Geneva District 304.
Mid-Valley Special Education Cooperative Articles of Joint Agreement
Motion Passed 6-0 (1 member absent)
The Board approved the Mid-Valley Special Education Cooperative Articles of Joint Agreement. The agreement outlines the MVSEC purpose, membership requirements, governing board, and financial responsibilities, among other items.

Building Pathways | January - March Highlights
The Board received the first in a series of videos that highlights recent activities from across District 303. Moving forward, videos highlighting recent activity from across the District will be shared at each regular monthly Board meeting during the school year. Highlights will include the previous month’s student and staff accomplishments, classroom activities and events.
Videos are produced by the Communications Department and the highlights are also shared in various ways across the District's platforms, including social media and electronic newsletters. The video shared on April 8 provided a snapshot of activities from January - March, 2024.
Returning Student Registration Opens April 22
Lincoln School's 95th Anniversary Celebration
The 95th anniversary celebration at Lincoln School will take place on Friday, May 10. The event begins at 5 p.m. followed by an event for everyone, including current Lincoln families, alumni, former staff and community members from 6-8 p.m.
Data Dashboard
The Data Dashboard provides a monthly summary on the health of District 303. This chart, which
will be updated monthly on the District website, provides an overview of nine important measurements in the categories of Academics, Belonging and Operations.
Reports to the Board
The following summaries were provided by Board committee chairs on meetings that took place in March. Additional information reports may be provided, as requested by the Board.

Learning and Teaching
In March the committee received its latest update on professional learning communities (PLCs) and a two-phase overview of professional development supports as part of the attendance boundary transition. The committee also discussed the District's plan for summer school course offerings and recommendations for K-5 STEM resources and other core and supplemental resources.
The next Learning and Teaching Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 15 at 5:30 p.m.
Business Services
The committee in March received several financial reports, including a review of the Business Services Department budget, an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget, and a new-look D303 monthly financial report. They also received an update on the capital improvement plan, progress reports on Lincoln and Haines renovations and improvements to parking lots and AED supplies. In addition, an addendum to the Haines Park District agreement and technology reviews and renewals were discussed.
The next Business Services Committee Meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 29 at 5:30 p.m.
Policy
The committee met prior to the Regular Board meeting on April 8 and discussed several policy updates, including ones previously pulled from its January meeting. They discussed policy updates on school board meeting procedures, residence, student behavior, administering medicines to students, and the library media program.
The next Policy Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 29 at 5 p.m.
