Atlas' Canvas
Hello Everyone! Atlas Here!
This month we had the great pleasure of initiating three new girls into Greenwood, one girl into Newport, and three girls into Summerville! It is so wonderful getting to watch our jurisdiction grow— especially when one of those girls was a Pledge girl!!
Speaking of Pledge, we were able to have a Pledge School of Instruction and meeting before our Sock Hop! We discussed what Pledge is all about, and two of our girls made colouring books for Pledge Mothers to get new girls interested in Pledge!
Our Sock Hop was a blast! With an amazing DJ, wonderful food and drinks, and great fun for the girls and adults (especially those who dressed up for the occasion!) There, our adults on the Ritual Committee revealed who would be on the Supreme Ritual Team– and what offices they would have! These girls had tried out and did their absolute best and we are thrilled to have a Ritual Team this year!!!
Our next Rainbow Road Trip is coming up! March 16th we are going to have lunch, have a tour of our State Capitol, and go skittle bowling!! Make sure you are keeping an eye out! Everyone is invited!
Ashley is also going to be headed to Grand Court this month in order to represent our South Carolina Rainbow family to our Amaranth family! Our watchword, family, doesn’t just mean the family you’re born into— but the family you choose. Your Rainbow family, your Masonic family— all people who are also meant to stick by you throughout life.
February is the month of love! Love of course doesn’t have to mean just love for your friends and family— but it can extend to the strangers and world around you. It extends to yourself. Our motto tells us to Always be kind. And while it’s important to be kind to the people around you— it’s crucial to be kind to yourselves too. Self-love is something that can be unfathomably difficult. I invite you, however, to try. Show yourself love, show yourself kindness. Just as you can never know how far kindness to a stranger will go, you can never know how far kindness to yourself will go.
Remember, you are God’s Masterpiece!
~Atlas and Ashley <3
Notes from the Heart
Hello South Carolina Rainbow Family!
Winter is winding down and spring will soon be on its way. We’ve had many outstanding activities within South Carolina Rainbow during the past two months: CRAVe at Winterfest at Carowinds, our Adult Workers’ Seminar, the Pledge School of Instruction, and the Sock Hop. I am grateful to everyone who participated in these events and very thankful to Grand Worthy Advisor Ashley and her team for coordinating many of them.
I must say that I have been inspired by the Pledge Program in some of our Assemblies. I’ve been hearing many good things about three of our Pledge Groups in South Carolina Rainbow. They are working with their Rainbow Sisters on projects and some have even participated in Module 1 of our Youth Protection Program. But my greatest inspiration came at the Pledge School of Instruction and the Sock Hop on Saturday, February 17.
For our Pledge School of Instruction, we had Pledge Girls from Greenwood and Dentsville Assemblies. After they sat patiently through the explanation of the Pledge Program for the adults and Rainbow Girls in attendance, they volunteered to take stations to demonstrate the opening and closing of a Pledge meeting. Rainbow Girls and adults filled the other stations, but the Pledge Girls were the shining stars of the meeting by confidently filling their stations and doing their parts well.
During the Sock Hop, we were joined by Pledge Girls from Harmony and West Columbia Assemblies. The Pledge Girls were the “life of the party,” and their enthusiasm was contagious. They danced more than anyone else. They participated in the Hokey Pokey, the Limbo, the Costume Contest, the line dances, and any other activity that Ashley planned. It was an absolute joy to watch them encourage each other—teaching each other how to do a dance or helping to get food or drinks for others.
I hope that every Assembly will work to have an active Pledge Group. They have a Pledge Book/Pledge Ritual that is similar to our Rainbow Ritual. Their primary officers are Pledge Sister, Associate Pledge Sister, Sister of Kindness, Sister of Happiness, Sister of Confidence, Pledge Chaplain, Pledge Drill Leader, Pledge Guardian, and Pledge Mother. Their meetings are open to anyone interested in attending, so I encourage Assemblies to have Pledge meetings on their informal meeting nights. Rainbow Girls and adults can fill any of the vacant stations, and prospective members of Rainbow and their parents will gain a greater understanding of Rainbow by witnessing a Pledge meeting. I can assure you that you will receive a huge blessing when working with these younger girls.
Inspired by the confidence, happiness, and kindness of our Pledge Girls,
Mrs. Dedra

Hope to see you soon!
<3 Waldo

Assembly Canvases
Chalkings from Charleston

Watercolors from West Columbia
February 13 was our first meeting of the month. Addie, Mady, and Sophie were present for the meeting. We enjoyed pizza and dessert. Ms. Marcia presented Module I of the Youth Projection Policy. We made Valentines for nurses at Lexington Medical Center. The assembly bought a case of Ashley's candy for this project. We tied little red ribbons around each bar and signed a card to go with them. Ms. Marrett Rawls, a friend of our assembly, works at LMC. The bars were delivered to her. She took them to the hospital on Valentine's Day for us. Ms. Marrett works on a unit that cares for COVID patients.
The "Sock Hop" was held on February 17 at Cayce Masonic Lodge. Addie and her parents, Peyton and her mother, Sophia, Sinclair (Ms. Marcia's granddaughter), and Ms. Marcia attended . Ms. Lauren and Mrs. Kenneth Rawls provided the music for this event. What a WONDERFUL time. Everyone wore their '50s attire. We enjoyed hot dogs & chips and ice cream floats. Thanks to our Grand Worthy Advisor for a wonderful fun event.
We will be participating in the Massing of the Colors on Sunday, February 25 at the Scottish Rite Center.
We hope to see everyone soon. Rainbow Love.

Hope Shines Hues
Hope Shines has been working on spreading the word Rainbow in our area. On Feb 5th Alyssa spoke to Acacia Lodge during their dinner before their meeting. We are really proud of her confidence and love for Rainbow. We have several more that we will be visiting.
On Feb 17th Alyssa helped serve for Harmony Hope OES Official Visit, this was the homecoming for John Griffin Worthy Grand Patron, South Carolina OES.
We have several young ladies that are very interested in Rainbow and will be participating in various Assembly activities.
Upcoming Assembly Dates!
SCAMM - South Carolina Association of Majority Members
SCAMM is in the beginning stages of a project to assist with funds for scholarships. SCAMM is asking for donations of men’s button-down shirts that can be turned into aprons to keep food off of the young ladies' beautiful gowns. If you have a shirt from someone special, just let us know when the shirt is turned in so we can get that specific apron back to them. We will be gladly accepting men’s button-down shirts at the next few jurisdictional get-togethers like the school of instruction. The aprons will go on sale as soon as the finished products have been created. Please feel free to reach out to Lynn Carter or Heather Kamphaus for any questions or concerns.
"Sunday Comics"
This year we are visiting all of our assemblies where we currently meet or where we use to meet! We have a total of 146 visits by girls, Majority Members, and Past Mother Advisors in some cases, to 43 Assemblies!
Originally we planned on doing 70 visits towards our legacy but amazingly surpassed the 70 in no time at all! Then we were going to do 70 visits for our legacy and 70 for our future but as you see we have almost accomplished that as well! You are AWESOME! Now each color represents 8 Assemblies to get all the colors for our graphic above! So please help us finish visiting all of our Legacy Assemblies!
We still need to visit the following and grab a photo: Friendship #1 in Williston, Marion #4 in Marion, Anderson #7 in Anderson, Columbia #10 (We will be doing our Rainbow Road Trip at this one!), Brewerton #12 in Ware Shoals, Lake City #18 in Scranton, Wagener #22 in Wagener, Hopewell #35 in Jackson, Rose Croix #41 in Spartanburg, Oconee #49 in Walhalla. We still need photos of: Charleston, Goose Creek, Dentsville, and Harmony. I believe in us :D!!
Yellow Circles are Assemblies that need to be visited, Green Circles are current assemblies, and Stars are Assemblies that have been visited and the color corresponds to the list above
What Does your Bingo Board look like?
How are you doing filling in spaces? Do any of our Assemblies have Bingos yet? Do any of the girls have a Bingo yet? Can't wait to hear!

Sock Hop
The Sock Hop Bash was a blast! We stepped back in time to the era that Rainbow began it's own Rainbow Jurisdiction! Mr. Kenneth was the bee’s knees spinning the doo wop beats as the girls cut a rug! Our Soda Jerks Mr. Greg and Andrew served up great grub and Ashley, Annice, and Andrew kept it cool with ice cream floats.
Everyone was with it in their cool cat threads and even won prizes for best dressed!
Ms. Christana (Greenwood) won best dressed adult, Aileana (Newport) and Annabelle (Dentsville) won honorable mention for best dressed girls and Lily (Greenwood) won best dressed! Their threads were with it!
Faith (Greenwood pledge) won the Limbo contest and Elana (Greenwood pledge) won the candy guess!
It was a happening good time as we stepped into the nifty fifty’s and def one for the record books!
Make sure to check out SC IORG and SC IORG Friends and Family for more photos!
