Middleton Repair Project Update Middleton Repair Project Update

I am excited to share with you that the repair work at Middleton is progressing well and we anticipate our PreK-2nd grade students being able to return to their Middleton classrooms on April 3. In order to allow our teachers time to pack up their current spaces, move, and set up their classrooms, there will be no school for PreK-2nd grade students on April 1 and 2. However, school will remain in session for all 3rd-5th grade students on those dates. We can’t wait to have everyone together again and plan to welcome our PreK-2nd grade students back with a Clap In on April 3. All Middleton families are invited to join us starting at 7:30 am as we cheer for our youngest students as they arrive. Bring your noisemakers, pom poms, bells, etc. It’s going to be lots of fun!

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your unwavering support and understanding throughout this process. We really couldn’t ask for a better family community. Although this situation wasn’t ideal, your encouragement, positivity, and grace has meant the world to us and we appreciate you! Looking forward to having all of our Mustangs under one roof again on April 3!

Principal's Update Principal's Update

It was another great week with so many fun events. Wednesday was the 100th day of school. To celebrate, some of our Kindergarten students dressed up like they were 100 years old.

On Thursday, our 3rd Graders made us proud with their amazing music performance. It was such a treat!

February's Character Trait of the Month was Kindness and we recognzied one student from each class that demonstrated kindness all month. We are so proud of these students and how the positive impact they have on their classes.

Last, many of our 3rd-5th grade students participated in the Oregon Battle of the Books competition this week. All of the teams were well prepared and their knowledge of each book was pretty remarkable. Pool and bracket play wrapped up this week and the final battle will take place next Tuesday, March 5, at 1:15 PM in the cafeteria. Thank you to all of the families and coaches that have made OBOB possible this year.

With appreciation,

Mili

National School Breakfast Week celebrates the importance of a nutritious school breakfast in fueling students for success. Studies show that students who eat school breakfast are more likely to:

  • Reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math

  • Score higher on standardized tests

  • Have better concentration and memory

  • Be more alert

  • Maintain a healthy weight

Nutrition Services is celebrating by hosting a raffle contest! Next week, each student participating in School Breakfast will receive a raffle ticket (limit one entry per day). On Friday, we will draw the winner of this year's prize; a Pac-Man Pocket Player (provided by our partners at Domino's).

Happy National School Breakfast Week!
