Marian Central Friday Focus
290th Issue - April 12, 2024
From the Desk of Mr. Brad Williams
Times are busy here at Marian Central as we approach the midway point of the fourth quarter of the academic year. With all that is going on, I’d like to take a moment to issue a few thoughts of gratitude.
This week Mr. Ossler led our Music Department on a showcase tour of our K-8 deanery schools to build enthusiasm for Marian Central and to further develop our music department. Thank you to Mr. Ossler and all of the talented artists who helped create a fun, special day for our future Hurricanes!
On Wednesday, Fr. Warren led the school in an enriching and refreshing all school retreat. We enjoyed Mass together in the morning, listened to a highly engaging guest speaker, shared lunch with our respective grade levels and spent the afternoon in various activities of reflection and bonding. Thank you to Fr. Warren for designing a thoughtful and rewarding experience for our community of faith!
Looking ahead we will soon have our final vote for the 2024 Junior Prom Court followed by the Prom itself on Friday, April 19th at the Starline Factory in Harvard, IL. Contributing to this rite of passage is something we are grateful and proud to do here at Marian Central. The Marian Central student council has been hard at work planning and organizing the event and we hope for a fun, safe and memorable night on April 19th. Thank you to the Marian Central STUCO for their hard work and efforts planning prom!

Uniform Drive
Our National Honor Society will be hosting their annual uniform giveaway and book sale in June and all donations are greatly appreciated. If you have uniform pieces that you would like to donate, please drop these off in the office so that they can be made available at our event in June (exact date tbd).
Seniors - we especially ask that you recycle so that incoming families can benefit from your generosity. To make it more convenient, there will be a collection area on Honors Day, Monday, May 20th, for families to drop off uniform pieces that they are able to donate.
Thank you for you generosity!
