General Summative Assessment Writing Dates
Beginning next week, the writing portion of the General Summative Assessment takes place using the following schedule:
3/5 5th Grade Writing Assessment
3/6 4th Grade Writing Assessment
3/7 3rd Grade Writing Assessment
Please take a moment over the next few days to talk about the importance of students trying their best on the assessment. There are several test taking tips below that parents, guardians and caregivers can assist students with as they prepare for the assessment. Thank you sincerely for working in collaboration with Potomack Intermediate as we prepare students for the writing portion of the GSA next week and the main portion in May!
Strings Concert at Potomack
On Thursday, March 14, the Potomack community is invited to a concert performed by Mrs. McGar's strings class. The concert will begin at 6:30pm and last 30 minutes. Strings students are asked to arrive at Potomack at 6:00pm to prepare their instruments. We're looking forward to the performance!

Snow Day Update
As you know, Berkeley County Schools has used all five traditional snow days it has built into the calendar. Potomack will utilize remote learning for snow days 6-10 using the schedule below.
Any instructional days lost past day ten will be either taken from spring break or added to the end of the school year.
Remote Learning Schedule
In the event we move to remote learning days (days six though ten), Potomack Intermediate will utilize the following schedule pictured below during remote learning periods. Students will begin to take iPads home when forecasts predict weather with the potential to close school. Students will learn where to find the links to gain access to their classroom teacher's and specials teachers' virtual classroom.
