Dear DMS Families,

We hope that our students and families had a restful February Break. It is hard to believe that it is the first day of March, and Spring is right around the corner. As we move towards Spring, MCAS testing is coming quickly. See below for our Spring '24 testing dates. As a reminder, there is no school for students at DES and DMS on Tuesday, March 5th.

As a reminder, there is no school for DMS and DES on Tuesday, March 5th due to the Presidential Primary. An email was previously sent out by Superintendent Runey about this day. In addition, there is an early release for Professional Development on Wednesday, March 6th at 11:45 a.m.

Please be aware that a separate email was sent to all 7th grade families earlier today regarding the SBIRT screening that is given annually to students.

This Spring, the Dighton PTO will host our annual Color Run. Please submit this link to order your child a FREE t- shirt for the event.

At this time, the district has free Covid test kits for those families who are interested. Please complete this form if you would like to sign- up for a Covid test kit.

ELA Testing Dates

• Grade 5- 3/26 and 3/27
• Grade 6- 3/28 and 4/2
• Grade 7- 4/3 and 4/4
• Grade 8- 4/9 and 4/10

Math Testing Dates

• Grade 5- 4/30 and 5/1
• Grade 6- 5/2 and 5/3
• Grade 7- 5/7 and 5/8
• Grade 8- 5/9 and 5/10

STE Testing Dates

• Grade 5- 5/14 and 5/15
• Grade 8- 5/16 and 5/17

• Grade 8- 5/22 and 5/23

In the event that a chromebook is damaged, lost or not working, please submit a Technology Helpdesk Ticket. Once the technicians have confirmation of the ticket, they will provide the student with a temporary device to be used while the damage is evaluated. If the damage is seemingly accidental damage, the chromebook will be repaired at no cost to the student. If you have any questions, please reach out to the DMS Main Office.
