Happy St. Patrick's Day! Be sure to ask your students about the surprise mess that was left at our school by some silly little leprechauns today!
This is my final reminder for families to complete our 5 essentials parent survey, the link will close on March 29th. LINK
Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is OPEN! Please register you students as soon as possible so we can allocate sections and teachers. This is most important for Kindergarten and Preschool! It can make the difference between having 2 large classes or 3 smaller classes! But we need to have the numbers to plan for it. If we don't get the numbers by the end of May, we plan for two sections and may need to shuffle students after the start of the year due to late registrations. I would hate to have to move students if we add a late section. And unfortunately the latest registrants will be the ones to move. Don't let that be your student! Register today!

Just a reminder that spring break starts March 25th and we return to school on April 1st - No Foolin'!

In support of our Read-A-Thon, we've joined the Cougars Reading Club! A reading incentive program sponsored by the Kane County Cougars baseball team. Your child will have the opportunity to improve his or her reading skills, raise money for SC, and earn a free ticket to a Cougars game.
Student forms were already sent home with students but additional copies are pictured below. Students should read 3 books every two weeks of the program. When they do, write the titles of the books and return that portion of the ticket to Mrs. Ross in our library. Each ticket is a base! The fourth week, students score a "HOME RUN" and earn their free ticket to the game!
K-4th grade students will use their tickets to go to a day game on May 14th during school hours, and preschool students will earn a ticket they can use for a night game on either Friday, May 24th or Saturday, May 26th.
In addition if you would like your child to have a vegetarian option lunch, please complete this form.
Overdue Breakfast/ Lunch Balances
Don't forget to check and pay any overdue lunch balances. You can check balances and pay on your parent Skyward account. You can also send cash or check payment to school with your child in a marked envelope with name and what payment is for. The office will then account for the cash or check payment on your student's Skyward.
Attention Parents - School doors open at 7:40 am. There is no staff supervision prior to this time. Classes start at 7:50 am.
Students who come in late find it harder to establish a good morning routine at school. Teachers are beginning instruction and a late student is missing out. Thank you for your assistance in making sure your students arrive to school on time!
A New Way to Pay Fees in Skyward
NO MORE E-PAY! We have rolled out a new way to pay for lunches, school fees and activity fees for students. You can sign up here https://saltcreek48.revtrak.net/. Or you can go to your parent portal in skyward, click on the fee payment tile, then in the far right hand top corner click on the "make online payments" button. This will take you to Revtrak. Make sure to sign up before you try to make payment. Once you can sign in, click the Make a Payment button in the middle of the page. This new service will streamline the payments so you can make a payment or set up recurring payments. This is directly connected to Skyward so you see the money immediately go to your child's account. If you have any questions please email or call your school office.
Preschool Payments: Once in Revtrak you will see in the upper right area an arrow next to SHOP. Click the arrow and pick Preschool in order for you to complete your payment. If you have any questions please email or call the Salt Creek school office.

Communication For When Your Child Is Absent
Please make sure to notify Angie Holden at Salt Creek Primary if your child will be absent, arriving late, or being dismissed early. It is helpful to contact your child's teacher in these matters as well, but it is very important to contact the office! If you have any doctor's notes, please send those to our health office staff.
