Lots going on this week between the first drum club, rehearsals for percussion ensemble, recording stained glass, etc. please start to identify what snare or ‘drummy’ solo you’re going to play. Performance for this will be in May.

Spring Fundraising and Mulch Update
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE MULCH FUNDRAISER!
We sold over 3000 bags of mulch and raised over $10,000 for the band!!! We had 106 students sell mulch which is 30% of the band. Thank you to these families for being #AIATT!
"WHY ARE WE DOING SO MUCH FUNDRAISING? I AM TIRED OF SELLING THINGS!!!"
Did you know that 1/3 of our operating budget comes from fundraising? That is $350,000!! We raise money through sponsorships, spirit nights, fundraising events like the Golf Tournament and Garage Sale, and through fundraising sales like poinsettias, mattresses, butter braids, and cookie dough. These fundraising activities help to offset operating costs of this elite band program. Otherwise, band fees would have to be raised at least $1000!!! No one wants that!!
We have made good progress with our fundraising goals this Spring. We have raised $22,000 from the Mattress Fundraiser and $10,000 from the Mulch Fundraiser. Our spring goal is $100,000 because we want to meet our operating budget goals AND start saving money for desperately needed trailer updates and repairs. Getting our equipment and props to our contests is a MUST!!! Thank you for your continued support and effort.
Our overall goal is to sell 3500 butter braids/products.
We have had a GREAT start to sales! 37 students (10% of the band) have sold 174 butter braids/products.
CURRENT TOP FIVE SELLERS:
1. Colston Groves
2. Kyle Mackinney
3. Kaylee Kline
4. Hailey Schwertner
5. TIED - Nate Sparks & Callie Clay
The TOP 5 Sellers AT THE END will get a coupon for a free Pizza at Domino's!
Butter Braid Details:
Back by popular demand! These are delicious filled pastries that you can simply defrost and bake in the oven and knock the socks off your guests with your amazing baking skills;) Here is how it works:
1. Share this flyer with friends and family via text, email, or on social media. The sale will last from Friday, March 1st until Friday, March 18th. Online Sales only.
2. Family and friends will choose your student and order from their page.
3. On March 27th, the butter braids will be delivered to Hebron and you will pick up your orders after school in the circle drive.
4. You will deliver your butter braids to friends and family. These will come frozen and need to stay frozen unless they are being baked right away. Please be aware of this and store in your freezer at home if you cannot deliver right away but we ask that you deliver as soon as possible as we have promised Easter delivery.
We are asking that every band student sell at least 10 butter braids (or kolaches/rolls), but if you want to sell more, that is wonderful! Even if you have met your fundraising goal, we are still asking each student to sell 10!!!
Here is a blurb you can post on Social Media with the attached flyer:
Hebron Band Community! Please support our award winning band by purchasing delicious butter braids from your favorite band student, ME!! Hebron Band gets 40% of every butter braid sold!
We have many flavors of butter braids AND some new products including: Caramel Roll with Caramel Cream Cheese, Cinnamon Roll with Cream Cheese Icing, Cheese Kolaches, and Jalapeno & Cheese Kolaches
Here's how it works.

Garage Sale!
GARAGE SALE ON APRIL 13th!!
The annual garage sale and recycling event is almost here and we need volunteers and your support.
Like last year we’re looking for 80 band members and 30 adults to work one of two shifts (Morning and afternoon). There are plenty of roles to fill including helping receive donations, pricing, help people with the purchases to their vehicles, road advertising, and the such.
WE ARE TAKING DONATIONS NOW!!! We also need your donations for the garage sale, and good News! We have our storage location 3 weeks earlier this year. If you have donation please place them in boxes in a manner where the boxes can be closed and stacked. At this time we can’t accept large furniture, but small items (like shelves) can be accommodated. If you have donations please contact Glenn Kimball at garagesale@hebronband.org to schedule a drop off or pick up. Finally, for the day of the sale we need any old hangers and plastic grocery bags.
This year we are doing more community outreach also. We’ll be reaching out to local businesses in the area and posting garage sale flyers advertising the event beginning March 15th, we could really use your help getting the word out. The more buyers we drive to the event the better. Once again contact me at garagesale@hebronband.org
Thanks in advance for all you do, AIATT.
