Rossi Owls W.I.S.E. Words
Message from Mrs. Heer
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
As the birds chirp, flowers bloom, and the sun graces us with its warmth, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our April newsletter. It's a time of renewal and growth, both in nature and within our school community.
Looking ahead, April promises to be another month brimming with opportunities for learning, creativity, and fun. Here are a few highlights of what's to come:
Autism Awareness Month: April is Autism Awareness Month. Our goal is to promote acceptance, inclusion, and understanding of individuals with autism. Bubble Day will be celebrated on Thursday, April 18th. This day will be filled with activities as well as a time for laughter, relaxation, and connection as we come together to share in the magic of bubbles.
Earth Day Activities: As stewards of our planet, we are committed to raising awareness about environmental conservation. Throughout April, our students will engage in various Earth Day activities, including planting, gardening, and learning sessions about sustainability. Let's work together to instill a sense of responsibility towards our environment in the next generation.
H.O.O.T. Hour: Our second H.O.O.T. (Helping Our Owls Thrive) Hour will be held on Friday, April 26th. This will be a time where students will participate in fun activities pertaining to our theme of cooperation and problem solving.
I want to express my gratitude to our entire school community for your unwavering support and commitment. Together, we will continue to inspire, empower, and uplift our students as they embark on their educational journey.
Warm regards,
Carmella M. Heer, Principal

W.I.S.E. News
Jordyn Jones was such an inspiration to us. Her spirit, her message, and her talent of ballet was so intriguing to the student body and staff. Jordyn is a high school senior who will be pursuing a future in ballet and engineering. She spoke about our new trait: Honesty. We rewarded for Perseverance and our WISE Guy was Mrs. Jennifer Friend. Jordyn performed a beautiful ballet number in front of the student body.
Assistant Principal Week
Assistant Principals are the backbone of any school community, and Rossi is no different. Last week was #APWeek and we are incredibly lucky to have the very best: Mrs. Lauren Coia! We are grateful for your positivity, grace, and above all your commitment to our students and staff. We are one big family at Rossi and that’s due in no small part to Mrs. Coia. Thank you for all you do, Mrs. Coia, we are so thankful for all you do!
National Libarian Day
April 4th was #NationalSchoolLibrariansDay ! Let’s give a huge Rossi shout out to our very own librarian, Mrs. Pangburn, known to all of our students as Mrs. P! Always willing to lend a helping hand, Mrs. P helps all of our students shine and feel valued. We are lucky to have her in our #RossiPosse. Thank you for all you do, Mrs. P!

Safety Patrol News
Safeties had a busy start to spring! The patrol donated nearly 20 loaves of bread, ten jars of jelly, and ten jars of peanut butter to the Vineland Soup Kitchen run by Spirit & Truth Ministries. Safeties then donated their time, traveling to the soup kitchen and preparing over one hundred sandwiches! We have also been busy running our “Guess That Baby” fundraiser where students and staff alike can guess staff members’ baby photos for a chance to win a free Chick Fil A lunch. Safety patrol members also facilitated the annual kindergarten Easter egg hunt for all of our little Owls. A fun time was had by all.
The Gold Badge Winner for month of April is Megan Lisicki Megan has displayed tremendous leadership and perseverance this month. She is an asset to our Safety Patrol team.
