A Note from our Principal, Mrs. Walk
Hello Trebein Parents,
I hope you were able to enjoy some time with loved ones over Spring Break!
During the next few weeks, students in grades 3-5 will be completing Ohio State Testing. In an effort to provide an optimal testing situation, all students will be asked to keep the building quiet on testing mornings and we will have a modified daily schedule here at school. The actual school day will have the same start and end times, but we will all work together in the building to support one another.
Spring often brings thoughts about the next school year. I want to let parents know that many factors go into class placements. I take this part of my job very seriously and truly want each child to be successful. I work closely with your child’s current teacher to gain insight about learning needs, social-emotional needs, and behavior considerations. Additionally, efforts are made to balance ability levels, personalities, and boys/girls. We also place students for specific services that may be needed (Gifted, Special Ed, ESL, etc.) I am happy to hear information from you about your child's strengths and needs, but please do not make teacher requests by name. It is possible that a teacher who was a good fit for an older child or for a friend's child may not be the best fit for this one. Thankfully, Trebein has an incredibly strong teaching staff and I feel confident in the abilities of each and every professional here.
As I interact with your children each day, I continue to be proud of our kids and how incredibly polite and kind they are. Thank you for raising your children to show genuine respect. It is both noticed and appreciated!

Special thank you to Bellbrook Fence for the installation!
The Spring BOGO Book Fair is Coming Soon!
The Scholastic BUY ONE GET ONE book fair will be Monday April 22–Friday, April 26. For every item purchased your child will be able to pick and item of equal or lesser value for free. Students will visit the book fair during their IMC class. Think about stocking up for summer reading!
Please note that the flyer that will be coming home with your child is just an example of what might be at the fair, we cannot guarantee that all the books in the flyer will be included with our fair.
We will also be collecting spare change for “Share the Fair” the week before the fair. A flyer will be
coming home with instructions. All funds collected stay at Trebein to help students at our school.
This event will not be possible without some great volunteers. We need help with setting up, during the day with the students, and packing up the fair. Follow the link below to volunteer!
